So. yeah. It's been a while. That finale derrailed me. I couldn't edit ANYTHING for weeks, I was so angry and disappointed. Had been so excited before the episode aired, I stayed up until the middle of the night, even dragged my sister into it, only to be let down. That wasn't a finale. That was a disgrace. At least in my opinion. I'm sure they did what they could in terms of settings and guest stars (though I don't believe they were able to bring back random vampire chick from s1 but not Misha...), they simply made very poor choices story-wise. Dean should have lived. Killing Dean destroyed aallll the character development. The whole point of the story (to be free and live free). There's no irony in his death. It was just stupid.
This song got me back on track. I immediatly knew I'd choose it for my fix-it edit, and though this turned out to be nowhere near a fix-it, way more depressing than I wanted it to be (or maybe I did), I'm soso glad it got me back on my feet and made me finish a new video. I had quite a crucial crisis after 15x20 because I thought, I'd never be able to vid my favorite show ever again and I reallyreally loved doing that the past months.
My last edit gained a lot of attention, and I just want to say thanks to all the people leaving lovely comments, and even trusting me with a subscription. Thank you and welcome!!

The last decade of television has put FAR too much emphasis on saying the words, as if it doesn't count until you do. As a hard core "Show me, don't tell me" person, I agree with you 110%. I actually despise the current wave of "Why won't you say it?" plot lines. They're just nauseating & overdone.

It would have been nice to have Dean at least acknowledge it. Especially considering it was misha egging us on from the start, it felt like the confession might have just been queerbaiting. (Not saying I don't absolutely love the scene) However I do agree what dean and cas had was so strong that it didn't need words and I don't think it can ever be replicated.

Never fall in love with a character as soon as you see them because eventually you will watch them die or in case of Supernatural a couple of times. It's Cas, that episode 18 ripped out my heart, chewed it roughly and then spit it out. Somehow this confession and it's implications was the worst death on that whole show for me. Fuck.

I know I already commented, but I'm still rewatching this so many times. From 1:08 and 1:52 on, with mirroring what's happening with Dean and Cas with the girl who lost her partner is just so heart-wrenching and beautiful. And then 2:28 with "I watched the man I love die" just KILLS me. I feel like so much of the fandom just looks at the sweet, bubbly parts of Dean & Cas, the parts that make us happy. But so much of their relationship was filled with deceit, sadness, death, and longing. Even though it hurts so much, it's so nice to see a more realistic portrayal of their relationship.

This is so viscerally heartbreaking. I still remember watching it last year and feeling like someone emptied out my insides with a spoon lol and I'm not doing much better after rewatching it today! Dean is literally never able to save Cas but he ALWAYS wants to. And an "I love you" has ALWAYS been sitting under the "I need you", this whole time, even if he never got to say it. This is probably the best edit I‘ve seen so far. I‘ve been saying that the past weeks on a lot of great edits and I meant it but now, this is fantastic. This is so, so good. The song you chose is perfect, the scenes you chose are perfect ‚ too. And it didn’t feel too sappy or happy or trying to be anything really, it really just captured a feeling you can’t really describe but it did do perfectly while showing all the most important parts. Great job, just wow. Also, I love that one parallel at 2:25 of Cas‘ first scene with the wings and then him getting absorbed by the Empty. That was a great choice, too.

This is ... this is... gosh, I cant even find the words. This is maybe the best Destiel MV I have ever seen. The scenes, the dialogues, the song, it was all so beautifully chosen you can really feel the love here, not only between them but the love of who made it for them. It is... impressive?
