Dean + Castiel | Permission to be happy

“And when you finally give yourself permission to be happy, and let the sun shine on your face. That’s when I’ll come.”
The first thing that came to my head during this scene was, “That has to be Dean.” What else could make Castiel happy enough to warrant The Empty to take him away? In that same episode, they also make a point to show he’s back in good standing with heaven, and they were able to bring Jack back, so there’s really only one major thing left. Dean.
My goal was to convey that idea in this video-to show that the common theme in Castiel's happiness is Dean. Also, I wanted to show a little from Dean’s side, how important Cas is to him and how this deal could potentially affect him.

This was perfect! All the juxtaposition of scenes and words! I especially fell apart at 4:30 when you put Cain's words "She only asked me for one thing--to stop" and Cas said "stop." Great song choice too!

Well... you did it. I'm sitting on my bed, crying. I was sad throughout the whole video, but that last scene... Dammit it gave me the rest. Cas looking at Dean, who is so happy to finally have a big win like this, not knowing Cas potentially traded a long and happy life for it. And Cas... Dear Lord Cas just... doesn't say anything to disrupt that happiness, knowing he'll never be with Dean the way he wants to and will therefore never be happy I- This is too much. Honestly. why am I even doing this to myself. Beautifully done and edited. Really got the feels going for me, as you can see xD

I know, the "I love you" gets me every time, and, sure it's then follows by " I love all of you" but he very clearly said it to Dean first. Too bad Dean doesn't share feelings of that nature towards Cas, that's what kind of makes it sad, even during their happiest moments together. To see how badly Cas wants more, but only to be constantly met with uncomfortable sexual tension that Dean obviously has.
