I am fairly convinced that the only reason the writers put that in the episode, was because they thought the series would be more interesting, if all three of them weren't holed up, playing "Happy Families," in the bunker together. And to give Misha the opportunity to explore his character away from Sam and Dean. Because if you go by characterization, and series history, there is just no way Dean would do this, especially without explaining himself to Cas.

i know. i know as well lot of us know as well. yet is painfull and hard to watch because they are really good actors and we fell in love with the show with the charactrs and hell they keep dying everytime they do is worse then the first time. theres no happy families. they start the show with that moto

I saw this video on tumblr and I was already really sad when I just read the lyrics, I didn't even watch the video. But then I did. And oh God. The singing voice is gorgous and the slowed down version of this song adds so much, makes it so much more meaningful. And if that wasn't enough, the clips used to pair it with fit all too perfectly. The way Dean says "Cas" when he sees him dead in that chair still haunts my dreams. It probably always will. This is one powerful video. (And evil tumblr keeps looping it in my other tab. But it's ok, I didn't need my heart anyway.)

Great sad Destiel vid. Love it. But it needs updating!
