I'm really glad I got the opportunity to check this car out, and thank you so much to Chery Century City here in Cape Town for loaning me this car for a few days! I'm also stoked that I got to test drive the manual variant, because most reviews I've seen online so far have always been about the automatic. Getting to experience this car from a slightly different perspective to what I've seen in other reviews was a massive bonus for me.

Definitely. The value for money offering is simply undeniable. Brand faith/loyalty is still shaky & I understand some people’s hesitance…but I don’t think that’s going to last for much longer! 😋

Thank you for your positive feedback! It’s an electronic handbrake, and the switch is in the middle if I remember correctly…between the gear lever & the centre console 😉

Have the SE Auto for a month now. Love it! Still not using 70% of the gadgets in the car as there is quite a few. This car just make you lekker lazy. Get in and go. Park Assist…love it. Auto wipers got tested in the winter rain. Love it. Made a booboo at the auto car wash…had to disable all things auto as it won’t move in the car wash lol. Other than that embarrassing moment, I’m still looking for what’s wrong with the car, can’t find much wrong. Space for Africa front and back. Just don’t look at the fuel consumption… it might depress you lol. But that power is worth it. In summary… buy the car for the luxury and enjoyment and not to be mad max on the road.

I agree with you. I think the only downfall about the Tiggo 4 Pro is that the fuel consumption could be better. But, like you say, the value for money & amount of luxury you get for the price definitely makes up for it. 👌🏻 I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying your Tiggo 4 Pro & I hope you got it from Chery Century City! 😉

How is the fuel economy?

@@Mfundo766 that depends on how you drive. A brand new engine require time to be driven in. Fuel consumption will be high to start off with. In the manuel they give you good tips to improve fuel economy. I started on 9L/100 but now on 7.9L/100km

Thank you Dean...I hope Chery Cape Gate will offer you some commission, as I have bought a Tiggo 4 Pro Elite on your and my lovely wife's recommendation. I am not sold on all the bells and whistles (which is nice), but the power and interior finishing is superb. The European markets certainly has some price adjustments to make for this competitive model.

mmmm going to have to go test drive one of these now... I wonder how the resale value is compared to the Kia and Hyundai's for example. I guess the 10 year million km warranty is good for them as a case study hence limit to first owner, it would be great if they start a trend with this for other brands to catch on. Another great video keep it up! To be able to compare the boot size between the cars you review prob best to say the liter size, just a suggestion. PS your guys dogs are more like hamsters they are so small lol 😁

The future resale value is a question that a lot of people are asking, and for good reason. It’s difficult to answer though. Only time will tell! 👀

Great review. My only gripe about all Cherry Tiggos is fuel consumption. Do you know if remapping the car to better the fuel consumption will void the warranty?

You’re not alone there. I think a lot of people see the fuel consumption as it’s only downfall… As for the remapping, I definitely think one is the running the risk of voiding the manufacturer warranty by doing this. This is the case with most other brands, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Chery takes on the same stance…🤷🏼‍♂️ Thanks for watching! 😊

I purchased my SE Elite a month ago, initially the consumption was at 9.5 l/100k but managed to get it to 8.4. I think as the engine gets older this figure will drop

Love the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, but... The FM Radio is a bit of a let down,as it does not display the Station Name only the Station Frequency. After a scan you have a lot of Radio stations to choose from, but can't choose the station based on the name. It also does not auto tune to that station after you selected 1 to listen to while driving long distance and the Radio station frequency changes. Such a basic FM Radio function in 2023, but not available in the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro. (Not even the Top of the range model) Hope that they can fix this with a software update.

Bought mine. Within 3 months the hooter stopped working. By 18 000 km the braking system started to malfunction and later the shock broke. The car has been into service for the past two weeks now as I type this. I wouldn't advice anyone to buy it.
