Just learned about this song. What a great number! Dean Martin was a marvelous singer, actor and man! Live music with a real orchestra..........what more could one ask for?

One of my favorite singers and such a warm man - the one member of the rat pack - who did not care if he was a member or not - how cool is that

Please keep posting his colgate comedy hour performances. These videos are rare. Most of the videos have cut out Dean’s performances and left just their skits.

Dean singing about jerry not being an angel, preceded by a clip of a most angelic looking Jerry = priceless.

@@janan7268 It's also mentioned by Dean on the radio show, so it's possibly true.

Can't stand JL, but Dean Martin is and always was great. Jl would be nothing without him.

Well it was Jerry who nurtured Martin and Lewis and made them what they were and when they parted Jerry was the top box office draw for years so yea I believe Jerry made it without him. Not saying anything bad about Dean because I love him as much as Jerry I'm just saying they needed each other and their partnership wouldn't have worked if it hadn't been for both of them. They were both wonderful apart but together is where the magic was created

Jerry alone was HUGE!!! Paramount's highest paid star OF ALL TIME. A success at the cinema all over the world. I also understand that you Americans are so ignorant of geography that you are truly convinced that the world stops at the borders of the USA, that France is something that is somewhere (and you don't even know where it is) and then there is nothing left . Dean Martin without Jerry WAS SINKING IN 1957. Sinatra saved him! And Greg Garrison made him a TV star! AND Dean ALWAYS COPIED THE THINGS JERRY DID. 90% of the Rat Pack's repertoire was Martin and Lewis material, therefore Jerry material. I remind you obnoxious toxic Martin fans that THE MIND of Martin & Lewis was Jerry Lewis!! He worked while Dean Martin played golf!

@@jerrylewisthekid5479 Exactly! I love Dean but Jerry was the heart and soul of M and L

@susantunbridge4612 Jerry was a SUPERSTAR! He was HUGE after he and Dean broke up. He was the brains, the heart and the soul of Martin and Lewis. If you're a real fan of Dean's then you would know the many times Jerry's name was mentioned on his show. Jerry was always on his mind and as @jerrylewisthekid said, a huge amount of what the rat pack did onstage was what Dean and Jerry did. So no, I believe it's the other way around and it pains me a little to say this because I really love Dean, but Dean would've been nothing without Jerry. Listen to Dean's song to Jerry, "You Skinny Hebrew". Dean says Jerry made him a star. Do a little research on these two and you'll see for yourself.
