What a wonderful warm smile Sammy gives Dean @45.09 when referring to his kids; “That’s quite a group you got going for you too, Pally” it’s so obvious that these two were the best of friends and Sam thought the world of Dean and his family, and I can never understand those who can’t see that but think that Dean and Frank were prejudiced against Sammy.

Just finished the book "Rat Pack Confidential" Davis had to put up with so much shit. Disrespect from all sides, from the public to fellow rat packers. The guy was a pioneer and opened Vegas to black performers. An imperfect man to be sure, but he worked his ass off to succeed. He deserves more respect and recognition than he gets.

@@NicolasMartinez-ll1no very entertaining, informative, and lots of behind the scenes revelations. If you're interested in the rat pack. Vegas and the mob in the 60s. This book's for you. It's a 4 out 5 in my opinion. I'd just wished it was longer.

Actually, those shows at the Sands were tightly scripted. If you watch this a couple of times, you can see them setting up the gags, routines, etc. The guys used some of the same gags for years. Larry Gilbart was one of the writers.

I just got finished watching the Dean & Edward R. Morrow Interview before I got here, and I saw Deano doing MAGIC with the Playing cards. He just swiped his hand across the front of the cards in his hand, and the cards were changing right before our eyes.

Yup at 48 I'm so pissed I missed this I was definitely born in the wrong era. All it was at that was 5 weeks The Summit at the Sands they hated the Rat Pack tag especially Sammy but better than the almost named The Clan. He wanted no part of that. And they were officially named by Lauren Bacall since Humphrey was the original Rat Pack "Prez" and as Frank became closer it was his faction that became famous BUT just 3 weeks turned into 5. Just finished my 10th short story on these guys n outside of the year I spent researching the Depression Era Outlaws this was my favorite subject to EVER research and write about!!!

They were all great. Get a kick out of it. Rat Pack was the big hit, in Las Vegas. Jokes, laughter, singing, and entertainment, we need to get back. JFK is my idol, and the Rat Pack played a big role, with the JFK. Sad and unfortunate, things fell through with Kennedy and Sinatra. Rat Pack had relationship issues. Frank cut ties with Peter Lawford and Bobby Kennedy, because of Mafia Connections. Sinatra was so saddened when JFK was assassinated in Dallas. Sinatra wept in his room, for three days, when the assassination happened.

Helena Hernandez He said; “How would you like it if I came out here and said did you ever see a wopsickle?! It’s a play on the words ‘popsicle’ and ‘wop’ . Very politically incorrect now of course, but it’s the sort of banter they joked about with all the time back then. They all gave as good as they got, and nobody even dreamed of taking offence.

@@lindashelley3635 - Love your ability go be inside the minds of multiple individuals - even after their deaths - to know what they dreamed every minute of their lives - then to have the decency to never monetize the skill; merely retain it as a public service to benefit society. Troy Braganza If you’re referring to Dean walking off @49.21, surely you realise that it was all part of the act. I’ve seen him do the same thing with Jerry on a Colgate Comedy Hour video, where Jerry got a big round of applause when he sang a song in his regular voice (as opposed to his usual high-pitched ‘goofy’ voice), and Dean picked up a suitcase and pretended to storm off the stage in a huff.
