It's indeed Ghost piezo, l would call the neck a V type profile, crazy strat type tones and that bridge in single sounds super tele tone. I love mine, just added a Deusenburg Les Trem, replacing the tail which sadly is already in two years showing deterioration to the chrome being not very well chromed. Dean is offering a similar if not the same Trem system for this guitar. It is very much a unique beast, Dean is fantastic to deal with giving you customer service that is as GOOD AS IT GETS! He's brilliant and this LaVoce is a super quality guitar and the price does not reflect what a great guitar it is. The blonde quilt top that mine has is nothing short of breath taking, the blonde high gloss board with black diamond fret markers is amazing! I only wish Stainless frets had been an option l would have GLADLY paid extra for, the tuners are high ratio making precision tuning a breeze, 21:1 if lm not mistaken, the slim body makes it super comfy to play sitting or standing however the downside is rear cavities that are eerily similar to a map of an L A. Freeway.. PACKED with wires.. very nice soldering but do not go in there because you can not un-see it once you have, it's not a place for anyone short of a journeyman electrical engineer to go! It is a SUPER axe and a great addition to anyone's stable! The system Dean has put in place kind of hurts the buyer being you can not try one before you buy one, they are not available in guitar stores or shops and you can only roll the dice by ordering one unless you know someone like myself that owns one to try. As l stated earlier..Dean is a brilliant mind, he's incredibly innovative, has had massive experience with building and designing guitars for decades..l was much happier than l expected to be when it arrived! Nut is cut to perfection! The sustain and resonance of this guitar are truly INCREDIBLE and nothing you would expect from such a slim bodied guitar but of my near 20 guitars it is in the top 3! Stays in tune very well, great video!! Thanks!

Maybe because you got what you ordered, but that is not always the case. Imagine if you did not get what you wanted, you too would be upset and disappointed.

Guitar may be good but you need to demo the clean sounds more...light reverb. When you put pedals in front even a light tube screamer sound it's hard to ever hear what a guitar sounds like. Your a good player with some clear Stevie Ray Vaughn blues influenced and your playing for that style is definitely on point.

Couldn't agree more - yet another KZbin review where you get no idea of what the guitar actually sounds like. Most guitars sound the same when previewed like this, pumped thru overdriven amps or pedals. Shame - I was keen to hear this guitar. Sorry to be a grump.

Either its not intonated correctly or the strings are too worn because it sounds out of tune. Being a guitar tech stuff like that drives me nuts. I have worked on a few of those and the strat bodied DZ guitars. I do like them and the quality is very nice. My only beef is the piezo system seems lacking quality wise. The wiring on the LaVoce I had on my bench had some sketchy soldering but an easy fix. I have set up a few others since they came out and they are good guitars and I would buy a used one in a heartbeat. Love the Zglide neck.

Zglide was very cool! I had an issue with overtones coming through the piezo from the section of strings behind the saddles. Do you remember seeing that? Agreed on the intonation.

Do those have a neck dive due to the thin/lightweight body?

Would you recommend the thinner les Paul body or the full size one they make? Is there a lot of neck dive with the thin one? Is it more or less comfy cause it’s so thin in the body

I was told by the Dean Zelinsky support team that the La Voce comes in at around 7 pounds and the Strettavita weighs about 10 pounds.

Do not order from the factory always put your hands on it first. If the factory sends you the wrong guitar, you are stuck with what you got like it or not. The customer service is extremely poor and will argue with you. Buyer be ware!!!

That "v" neck needs to be felt with your hands. 80 percent of guitar players do not feel comfortable on a "v" neck.
