Making Masks mandatory is bulshit. I won't wear them until they refuse to let me in. People who are at risk should just eat better and reduce their "pre-diabetes" risks. Corona won't go away. Even if we get a vaccine in 2022 the virus will be mutatet by then so it only will help partially. Proposed sollution is a chinese style social credit system in combination with implanted chips, that only let tested and healthy people travel or even leave their home.

@Chris @chris: Doing not everything the state tells you to do, is the oposite of giving up all your rights. Tell us what is your fucking sollution. Are you willing to give up your rights indefenetly because the 10ß% vaccine solution isn't going to happen ever? Or are you prefering the China style Social Credit system?

I live in Texas. I am an essential worker. We are told to keep 6 feet away and wear a mask when in pubic areas in my building. But, most of the people that work in my building don’t comply. Yesterday when I shopped at Whole Foods, there was a security guard at the entrance making sure the shoppers were wearing a mask. Also at Costco, there was a big sign indicating that a mask 😷 is required to enter. In general, people don’t care unless they are forced to do something.

Hello from Athens Greece ! We have been in a half lockdown for 1 month now. Only allowed to go out for essentials (pharmacy,doctor, supermarket) and also allowed to go for walks for exercise or walking your pet. For all this though you have to sent an SMS(to a government number) stating your name ,address and reason for being out carrying your I.D. with you all the time . Police do checks. As for produce. 3,50 is our normal price of peppers 🤣🤣🤣🤣 out of season. Also here in Greece we don't cook the rice in a bag . It is available as an option but not a popular one. It's also more expensive! That's all for now. Stay safe, stay happy! I really like your vlog!

I don't think we are going to be letting international visitors into the country for quite a long time yet unless maybe from New Zealand but even then, not for a few months. "half past noon" - - you crack me up, haha As a German living in England, I follow what Germany does with interest. I thought opening shops and bringing in a Maskenpflicht 1WEEK(!!) later is stupid, they should have made masks mandatory when they opened the shops. But I support opening the shops again. I guess quite a few people are going shopping now as it is a novelty, and they have the time as they do not work. It will get less again. I wish we were allowed to sell ice cream here, as that is my job. Although every time I go to our local park, where I work, it is very empty, despite being nice ice cream weather. My father went shopping, and forgot one item. He wanted to go into the shop without the trolley and was advised he needed one to make sure he keeps his distance. Told by the 2 security guards who stood right next to each other! In general I think a gradual opening of business and schools is good. Considering the Bundesweite infection rate is 0.002% of the population. And in rural areas the risk is lower than in big cities.

You might want try to sauté ('anbraten') the curry paste while stirring it for a least 1 minute after sautéing the onions and garlic. This will activate even more paste flavours which then will flavour the vegetables also. And you will be needing less paste (2 table spoons, max). Just roast ALL vegetables (raw brokkoli, too) with onions, garlic and curry paste for up to 5 minutes, but add cocos milk last and let it simmer.

Hi, greetings to Duderstadt from another little town nearby. If you struggle with the german articles, Deana, just use the diminutive form (-lein, -chen), then "das" is always grammatically correct. Weird, but correct. 😊 Sadly they dont's speak "Plattdeutsch" (low german language) any more in our region. That would have been quite more similar to English: the articles would have been "de" for both nouns, masculine and feminine, and "dat" for that few neutral ones.

Hey, I'm cooking from your recipe for Thai curries after your Cock Brand video. Amazon delivered it today and I made the Massaman type first (I got the 5-type pack). The Massaman is not exactly right, we both felt it tasted odd, and not really Massamany. I learned that adding creamy peanut butter really helps, in addition to the chopped peanuts on top as the label suggests. It's so good! I look forward to trying the other 4 varieties. Since Phil loves peanut butter (so weird for a German - does he like root beer too?) - try adding PB to the sauce! Also, Deana, since you introduced Phil to Cheetos HOT, I'm worried he'll never be able to enjoy the awesomeness of normal Cheetos. He'll be like, "Where's the burn?" I miss Cheetos so much living in Germany. There is no substitute for that particularly *DENSE* flavored styrofoam, as you put it.
@DeanaandPhil4 жыл бұрын
Ahh cool! 😍 What veggies did you use with the Massaman paste? We usually use potatoes, carrots and onions. We have never tried using peanut butter in as well. Sounds like it good be good! OMG!! I was craving Cheetos randomly the other day and they are nowhere to be found here! We can't find them anywhere. 😢 We are noticing more and more things that we can get in the US that we can't find here in Germany.

For weeks everything outside was highly dangerous and people barely used masks. The handmade fabric ones were criticised to be not ok. Now all of the sudden they are recommended and a mask duty starts on Monday. But only for a week, because from may 4th on relaxing of regulations take place. Sorry, I don't get it. I wear a mask whenever I leave the house and I sew masks since the middle of march. The few times I go outside I immediately see, why I stay home all the time. The people outside look like educated adults. But they are allergic to intelligence and resistant to understanding. It wouldn't surprise me if the government quickly steps back to more regulations. The plastic gloves at supermarkets make so much more sense. I wish American supermarkets would do that. I am guessing they aren’t limiting the amount of people going into the supermarkets 🤔. Here in NYC, it’s so intense. People still follow the rules and some don’t. However, our governor is pretty amazing at handling this situation. But the lines are crazy now and the only way to shop is to get up crazy early now.
@DeanaandPhil4 жыл бұрын

Deana and Phil Yeah, people here have been so good about following the rules and everyone wears a mask 😷. So because of that the numbers are going down. I don’t hear the ambulance as much these days. They really don’t limit family members, so if you’re with someone you count as one person. I think they do this especially if you’re with a elderly family member. Just seeing this. I’m curious what Germany or your state considered essential businesses to remain open. I was a bit shocked that in my state some of those included liquor stores, hardware stores, and plant nurseries/landscape businesses. We had mask mandates and still do. Most people wear them. A lot don’t like it and I think those people find each other and businesses that don’t follow the mandates so they can all hang out and get each other sick. 😷 How is the vaccine rollout going? Here it seems slow. I got my second Pfizer vaccine on Friday. They are allowing essential healthcare workers first . I was in the second group for working in behavioral health. Some 65 and older are allowed now (here). I think older people living in group homes may have been early too. I am hoping my parents can get theirs soon, but they are in another state (Illinois) and it doesn’t seem as efficient as here (Tennessee). I hope you are staying healthy.

Wait, the city seems so familiar. Looks like Hildesheim where @puntingforthepeople (Jacob) is living. :D
@thkempe4 жыл бұрын
Hildesheim is five times bigger, but its historical center of half-timbered houses was almost totally destroyed by allied air raids during the last few weeks of ww2. The most impressive houses of that style beeing seen today are modern reconstructions.

@@thkempe Yeah, I know it is not Hildesheim, because you see the citiy's name on the playground. They just looked alike.

There are definitely PO boxes in the post office next to the train station in Göttingen. But they might not have any vacancies. Or you just let stuff be shipped to a Packstation near you? Also, am I the only one paranoid about eating candy some stranger sent you? By the way, the mask thing is varies greatly between towns: in Northeim hardly anyone wears a mask, one town over in Einbeck or Bad Gandersheim people are way more conscious🤷♀️ Stay save, stay healthy.

1) The gapping mouth smile that Phil does reminds me of The Muppets...Kermit or Fozzie Bear. 2) I am from California and we have been in "Shelter In Place" mode since March 19, one of the strictest in the nation. My county of Santa Barbara has a population of 240,000 (out of 40 million), about 450 confirmed cases, 270 recovered, less than 50 in hospitals, and today we had our 6th death. The majority of folks follow the rules, are courteous, and keep the proper distance with masks in place. I am one of the lucky ones, I still get to go to work 4 days a week. I am a buyer for a 23 location healthcare multi-specialty clinic, and our department is deemed critical to the organization. We have been pulling in PPE, disinfectants and other critical products since the 2nd week in January. I go grocery shopping 2x a month, and self-isolate the rest of the time. Lockdown is critical because this will come back around again until a vaccine is developed, tested, and distributed widely. Stay home, stay safe, stay healthy! 💙❤

I live in California as well near SF. In our county have to wear a mask in public, I read you can be fined if you don't.

Not at the moment, but we are working on setting up merchandise! 🤗💜 We need to find a company to work with that delivers internationally.

@@DeanaandPhil Interesting. I bought some merch from a KZbinr from the US, and had to pay quite a bit for postage and then I had a note from my post office here in GB that I had to pay £21.08 customs charges on top. Shipping was about £40.00 in the end. 45 Euro!! for a shipment above a value of £30.00 and outside the EU. If it had been under £30.00 customs is less. Inside the EU it is ok, I bought something from a KZbinr from Germany, and delivery was around £8.00. Or 8 Euro? Well, it was reasonable.
