I can relate to Buzz. Grew up VERY rural, no scenes, shit radio, cable tv didnt come to my hometown. We listened to everything we could hear and was great. Sitting on a tailgate or dam at the pond playing AC/DC, Tom Petty, Megadeth and Bad Religion. No rules, No limitations. Music is the greatest blessing in my life aside from my family. The Melvins have been a great contribution to my musical landscape. Punk or metal or rock? I dont care, I like it. Oh yeah, thanks for talking about Metallica and Priest (...And Justice for all, is my favorite METAL album. Good to know I'm not alone!)

Two very big Guitar Hero's for sure. When I think of 6 string "Hero's" I tend to aquant the image with the hair metal cats that I grew up on, but the "Alternative"music genre or style or whatever word can get attached to music that is not easily defined or pigeon holed, has given us some great creative guitar players. Paige Hamilton and Mike McCready fit the bill as well.
