In a disposable society where things are readily thrown away, seeing a master at work who is so knowledgeable and practically adept has a strange sort of beauty that I can’t quite put my finger on.

I have one of these with a 125mm guard, wanted it for the speed control, makes it a nicer easier machine to use. Only for DIY so no heavy use but i like it

I have bosch gws 12-125s with speed regulation, quite handy tool and smart

I normally remove guard right off the bat out of the box, cause its always in the way but I kinda like that modified version there. It keeps you safer but doesn't impeed the grinders abilities to cut & grind everything. The saftey police won't necessarily like it though.🤷🏻♂️ Saftey squints & holding your breath keeps them away tho!🤔👍🏻👌🏻😂🛠️

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I took a look at this grinder a couple months ago and you get it on amazon for 60 something €. Finally didn't got it. Instead I got a used Fein CG13 125V (Orange Bosch GWS 13 125 CIE). It's a little heavy compared to this one but overall a better machine.

May have modified the guard to polish things

Dean, Was there ever a tool handed in to your work shop that was a simple fix but it took you hours to actually locate the fault? I am guessing you would see these situations as a challenge in trying not to be defeated by a broken tool 👍

Dean, can you help me out with an advice? I’ve bought combo planer/jointer. And one of the tables is off. How can I adjust it? Can’t find any information online.

Are tools a lot more expensive where you live? I find most the tools a lot cheaper here like the 7 125 is 50 euros here, 9 125 is around 85 90 on amazon de, local store are a bit more expensive but still cheaper. Just curious. Keep up the good work.
@deandohertygreaserАй бұрын
yes, we do get ripped of with prices here. Since covid the high prices have never come down again.
@simesimicevic8713Ай бұрын
Ouch....😅

True about the prices, but this is the S version with speed regulation, you might be talking about the regular version which is a bit cheaper. I bought the 9-125S for 100€.
@simesimicevic8713Ай бұрын
@@bozinti am thinking about the S model. Its on amazon de right now 85 euros, i looked now i found it localy in croatia for even less 71 euros

In germany the tools are always at least 10% cheaper than the rest of europe, specially bosch. I paid 180 for my cordless circular saw, in france it was 220. Just absurd.

I'm pretty sure that is tile dust inside, a lot of bathroom fitters use angle grinders for that these days hope your customer uses a mask 👍

Bosch seem to do 900w and 700/750w grinders does anyone actually notice a difference in the power?
@zaxmaxlaxАй бұрын
You can feel by the weight alone 😂 sub 750w grinders you can one hand all day everyday no problem.
@JuanjeteMSАй бұрын
Bosch 750 is perfect when you need to work with one hand. They are very slim and light. Going up in power means also more weight and less confortable for one hand jobs.

You say 110V 60Hz. A transformer don't change the frequency, so it must be 110V 50Hz
