In this video, DeAndre might as well changed his last name to Jordan with the majority of his plays coming off lobs and put backs. This guy is capable of more offensive set plays. DA offers more variety and the Suns are not doing enough by this guy. He’s easily a secondary option with the right players and system. Detroit, Indiana, and Atlanta are my top three teams I can see DA fitting in. Charlotte, New York, and Portland are the secondary teams.

Definitely a pipedream but Ayton would be a great addition to the Pistons current core. He fills a need at Center he can run pick and roll, score in the post and protect the paint something we seriously lack. Also he fits in the age range at 23yrs old with cade, bey, hayes, stewart, bagley etc.
@kaysnow55672 жыл бұрын
wouldn't say a pipe dream. Detroit is probably one of three true destinations that Ayton might land. They have the cap space, have a tradable asset that Phoenix will like so they will not match, and facilitate at sign-and-trade with Detroit getting Ayton and Phoenix getting Jerami Grant. Not a lot of teams can offer that. I know Ayton has to choose Detroit, but it make sense for him to do so. i would say we have not seen the best from Ayton yet. I believe he offers more shooting upside than what he shown in Phoenix. Phoenix did not let him shoot 3s. he shot 34% from 3 and 74% from the FT line at Arizona. he shot 37% from 3 and 75% from the FT line last year. Him and Cade would be an amazing duo. Pair that with Ivey or Sharpe and now you have a trio you can build around.

Hell no. Look at these highlights, 90% was created by his playmakers (Cp3 - btw one of the greatest playmakers). If u watch suns games u know he is SOFT, he cannot dominate like an Embiid or a dominant center. If u give him the ball and tell him to generate the offense then what? If he does leave PHX, he will have a similar role to HOU Howard. No way he’s averaging 23-25 PPG. For reference, KAT averages 24 PPG.. and Ayton is no where near his skill set.. give Ayton keys to offense without a Cp3 type player then see what happens.. Sure, he CAN average 20/10, but that would be in a losing team like Detroit and him as the 1 or 2 option. That is not a max player like Doncic, Trae in his draft class. All his open lane dunks are from the focus being on Paul and Booker. He doesn’t even work for any of his points unless it’s going to be an easy alley oop or an easy dunk. This video is just an assist highlight from the other suns players. It just happens to be to a guy with the name Ayton on his jersey. Mediocre is all he will ever bring to a team needing that extra “umph” from him to win a championship if he starts at center. He’s Mr. Lucky & Mr. Nice Guy All in the body of a potential Superstar. @@fromisgunner wrong. He is the reason Devin Booker & Chris Paul couldn’t do anything offensively. When your big man is a giant P-word, he is simply a life size cardboard cutout, in a Deandre Ayton jersey, who doesn’t drive, crash the backboards, run down the floor, run back to defense, and puts the pressure on two smaller sized NBA players who can get away with such, due to having such a tall big man. Except when the big man isn’t performing and is OOZING sweat of intimidation and hesitant.. then it ripples back to the two smaller sized NBA players in Booker and Paul, and then they get all the heat and negative stats, due to Deandre Ayton under performing time and time and time again in big games. He can’t do it. He’s too nice & makes sure the lane is open before he goes to the basket for ANYTHING. He’s too lazy to run the court and dunk over people. He’s too intimidated by people & gets shoved around and driven on guaranteed when playing sharp shoulder/elbow driving players like Giannas & Luca.. etc. End of story. He looks decent when he has an open lane thanks to the double teams and attention that Booker or Paul force the defenses eyes & balance, to hesitate which opens up a football field sized lane for him to dunk or alley oop. (thanks to their actual hard work & skill setting up an opportunity to pass the ball to Ayton for an easy & guaranteed basket). Notice how he never ever ever ever drives, goes over the top of anyone, never crashed the glass for rebounds, never runs back to play defense… all he does is put his arms up for a pass when he feels safe and then they try to get the ball to him if they see they’re given an easy window for him. Never does he do any cool trick shots, passes, blocks, defense, dunks, steals, nor does he get in anyones face or force them to fear him. He’s a nice guy. And nice guys finish last in competitive physical sports like football and basketball. It is what is it. He’s maxed out all he has to offer. And that’s who he will forever be. End of story.
