I’m looking forward to trying plastilina sculptures on a similar wire over wood install and your method of drilling holes for the leg wires is the simplest, easiest method I’ve seen, so thank you for sharing!

IF your just starting out {and honestly even IF your not} use foil to bulk out the armature, it will heat up and help bake the clay through and save you a fortune of clay and problems trying to cure very thick clay

I totally agree

She may have using the grey clay beside her just not shown in vid maybe 🤔

For those complaining about how she missed a gazillion steps... please remember, this is a teaser to get you to go take their classes. They didn't say that, but why else would it give you a website at the end. So you can go take the course. Aka this is marketing.

Step one: sketch the horse Step two: sculpt the rest of the horse Step three: finish up with details :) Beautiful sculpture, not much as a tutorial though.

I find sketching difficult because I’m not a good drawer. But 3D comes naturally. I wish I could sketch ❤

Indeed it was made for some tips for sum stages. Not for what u thought a complete two hour video. I learned at least one thing new, didint you ?

Hello I'm just now finding your video.. I really like your approach to making the armature! I plan on making a horse here soon as well. I hope it turns out at least half as nice as yours! Do you sculpt in solid clay?! You could hollow out your sculpture with foil? It saves clay and reduces the baking time.
@usernamemykel3 жыл бұрын
You missed showing us a few hundred steps... AND, why did you not "bulk" the horses main body with aluminum foil or something, to prevent using/wasting expensive Sculpey?
@Robine-n1v11 ай бұрын
does the aluminum wire stay in the sculpture when firing? Or is the wire and the wood removed before it goes into the kiln?

So beautiful!

Is there a reason you don't use foil to bulk it out?
@usernamemykel3 жыл бұрын
No answer, no reason, not a good instructor - left out a few hundred steps.

Maybe she isn't going to bake it at all, hence none of the tricks like using foil? Maybe their school has a ton of sculpey stocked up for students to use?
@danielmilliken89035 ай бұрын
Indeed. Or she used the grey clay underneath for center torso hmm

Wow ,Maybe a daft question but do you remove the sculpture from the base before baking?
@chentesafao6 жыл бұрын
when you get to baking it .do you leave it on the wood or ???
@sunnymoney72046 жыл бұрын
I leave it on the wood because it bakes at 250°F, this tutorial isn't very good I will link a couple much better ones

For those of you who use polymer clay. How in the world are you baking it while on the wood??? Wouldn't it burn the wood?
@TheDarkArtist662 жыл бұрын
No it doesn't burn. Most polymer clay only needs to be baked at 275 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 mins. Thre only problem ive found is that sometimes there wood might warp or bow

Lovely, thanks for your video. I do unicorns , quite hard. Use air dry clay. You have to work fast, otherwise it dries and cracks.

What aluminum wire are you using and how did you cut it? I bought solid 4awg aluminum wire and I cannot cut it with diagonal cutting pliers (7”) :(

Hobby wire. It’s a more pewter type. Online ordering for this stuff
