Thank you, Deanne. My arms are still slow on the let-go-escalator and I need a sign at my door: "Beware - flying hoops!" But your video is so clear and step-by-step that I will figure it out.

Hi Deanne, I'm just starting to learn handless hoop tricks. I always seem to either kick my hoop with my other foot or hit it off my hip/arm. I'm not sure if my hoop is too small or I'm just unbelievably uncoordinated. Any tips on how to fix this? I have a super light HDPE hoop so I know it's not weight.

What happens if it doesn’t even go up, like every fucking time I take it from the ground up, it touches my hip then just keeps spinning around my hips??! I’m getting so frustrated lol

I am not getting my hoop to continue going up my body to meet my hand at the top. Whenever I push it, it reaches my neck, slaps it hard, then it either stops there or I move and it drops back to the floor. What am I doing wrong so that it doesn't reach my hand when I put my right hand up to catch the hoop? I am using my right hand, as it is dominate, to practice this trick.

Hi there! I hope my comment reaches you or at least someone who knows hooping! I just received my first two trick hoops in the mail today. They are about 28 inches and weigh approximately 6 oz. I immediately found it difficult to keep one going around my waist. Is this because it's so light and/or small and is meant for more off the body stuff or is it a skill I need to work on? Thanks to anyone who can answer!
@DeanneLove4 жыл бұрын
Great that you got a hoop!! Exciting. 28inches is super small, it will be fun but difficult for smooth and fluid on body hooping 😊

What weight hula hoop should you start with as a beginner as I've got a really heavy one that you can only do normal hooping with no tricks but the light ones don't stay at my waist
@akudumb30216 жыл бұрын
Isobel Coleman Normal, classic, light weight (like a sports shop kinds or walmart, target and such) i find the best :)

Hi there, may I ask whats approximately weight of the hoop in this video? I'm constantly failing my attempts with "let go" escalator. But I noticed that is less terrible when I use lighter hoop. Is this possible? And whats you hoop weight?
@DeanneLove7 жыл бұрын
Yes this is a light weight polypro, but I learned this move with a heavier hoop. The light weight does help the hoop to "fly" a little and requires less force yes!

when I Let Go it doesn't hit my back it hits the opposite side of my neck and gets stuck. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Do you think my hoop is too big?
@ShibblyWibbly7 жыл бұрын
When your hand comes to contact with your hip and you let go, try to continue pushing the hoop against your body with your palm open. It is hard to see when it is done so fast that it looks like they are just "throwing" the hoop around their body when they are really pushing it. I hope that helps a little, I had the same issue because my thick hoop wont continue upward if I let go without rolling my palm. You may have to try lifting your hoop a bit off the ground so that it is higher on your calf to get the correct positioning after you get the rolling down. Good luck, happy hooping!

When I try the more advanced version I can't get the hoop to go past my hips it just falls. What am I doing wrong?
@carmensolano50468 жыл бұрын
maybe its too heavy, te first time i tried it was with a super large super heavy one (bc thats the one i read was supposedly ideal for starters) and i just couldnt do the advanced one, i had to do the other one even tho it was super slow (again bc of the heaviness)
