Got to give credit to Dean Martin, he was totally comfortable living in his own skin, he made no excuses, he was very comfortable being who he was, had no worries what others thought, very admirable !!!!!

All the musical numbers on The Dean Martin Show are priceless gems. Duets, piano songs, couch songs, songs with the Golddigger's, all of the songs are part of television history. Dean Martin sang all the best ballads. The great American song book. Great country and western tunes. Dean Martin singing with Les Brown and orchestra. Ken Lane at Dean's piano. All of the regulars in the cast. All great comedians. All the dance numbers. All the guests were top notch talents in all aspects of show business. Young and older singers. Guests from other countries. Young and older guests. Sweet child stars. Great comedians. Great dramatic actors. The who's who of entertainment were guests on The Dean Martin Show. Everyone wanted to be on stage next to the great Dean Martin. Can anyone imagine a television show like this on network TV today? On any channel at all? The chances are 0% of that. The 264 episodes of The Dean Martin Shows are slowly trickling out, often cut, some complete. I want all 264 episodes full length, uncut and fully restored to the best picture and sound quality that's possible. Dolby sound quality. Released in groups or as a complete set. On professionally made blue ray discs with proper cases and artwork. NBC Universal and Greg Garrison Productions and The Dean Martin Family Trust along with The Dean Martin Association and The Dean Martin Fan Center could all work together on this project. Getting all the legal red-tape smoothly worked out would be the hardest part of it all. But it needs to be done. It needs to be done now. While us original Dean Martin Fans are still here to enjoy it all. Thumbs up from anyone who agrees!

I have had tears of laughter in my eyes. Remembering on my youth. I shared the link with my son hoping it would provide a perspective to my concept of life. Dean Martin was iconic and his son was an awesome Rock Star. That was life in the day.

(guest) Hi, folks.🙂. This is Feb, 2019, I am 71, and had not seen Dean much at all. It's only since getting this " tablet",that a whole new world of interest has opened up for me.🙂 Having discovered these lovely shows, they are do good to dip into, with the songs, dance routines, pretty sets, and humourous sketches. You are never disappointed ! I recommend them to everyone, along with others here on you tube : Carol Burnett is particularly good, Look for " Went with the Wind", and " The Walnuts". The Andy Williams and Perry Como shows were also very good, with many guest stars making excellent entertainment. Nothing like them now... I can't understand why they don't do shows like this now : maybe it's because the modern pop performers don't have the broad abilities that the " old timers" had... I am so happy to be able to see so many great shows. Thank you so much. 🌸🌹🌸🌷🌸🏵🙂🙂🙂

Brian Russel I am from the UK, and in the same age group as you, so I was around in the sixties when these shows were first made, but never got to see them at the time because they weren’t aired over here. So, like you, I have been discovering them on my little iPad over the last couple of years and it has been a whole new world of entertainment for me. At the time, though I was always a fan of Dean, I only knew him as a singer. I never had any idea what a wonderful comedian and all-round entertainer he was. Also, through these shows I have also discovered many other American entertainers whom I had never heard of before, like Foster Brooks, Jonathan Winters and Carol Burnett. The only downside is that these shows have really spoiled me for much of the rubbish that is broadcast on regular TV these days.

It’s called Saturday night Live and the artist that perform are part of the sketches as well. So with all do respect check yourself before you make assumptions of current talent. It’s so disrespectful

My Dad lived to 93. Almost a year now. Dean Martin collection was provided to view, with a screen, in lovely sitting room. Dad enjoyed eating dinner in his last months, accompanied by Dean. Precious experience. Thanks to Dean and the amazing staff at nursing home for providing such a delightful setting for him.

The Dean Martin Variety Show format before becoming the Roasts survived into 1973 along with Rowan & Martin's Laugh In when they ended this is proof that the Ed Sullivan Show had CBS not cancelled it in the Spring 1971 could have ran two more years going with Ed Sullivan's wish to run until the Spring 1973 for the 25th Anniversary of it's premiere in 1948's Toast Of The Town ending fittingly with. Think of all the New Music Hit Artists that the Ed Sullivan Show missed by not running until the 25th year completion. Rod Stewart's Maggie May, The Osmonds's One Bad Apple, Three Dog Night's Joy To The World, Bill Withers's Lean On Me, and Many Others from the Fall 1971 to the Spring 1973.

I wonder what they cut at 18:43 ,, they actually cut the end off of the word when Dean says FEMALE. I hate it when they do that,,, everybody knows the show was politically incorrect,,,,, JUST LEAVE IT.
@DeanoMartin7 жыл бұрын
Yeah or they cut or they put a noice that sounds like a cuckoo clock instead of it. You're right, just leave it!
@2packs4sure7 жыл бұрын
The cuckoo clock thing was 60's - 70's NBC so if you hear that, it's original. That slash cut at 18:43 was done recently.
