When this walk is over, some of us will have to go into rehab with severe withdrawal symtoms from watching these wonderful daily vids. I'm all for renaming the Pennine way the 'Hobnobs' causeway' or even the 'Ginger nut trail' but I have to draw the line at 'The McVite's walk.'

I love hobnobs. So much more of a treat than digestives. Chocolate hobnobs yum yum.........

I am now in unfamiliar territory, but it looks fabulous. You shouldn't have to buy any shares in McVities, they should give you lots of them (I agree their Hob Nobs are quite delicious, first thing on my kit-list next time I'm out for the day-walk). Very impressed with the Honesty-Box Hostel,I'd love to go there one fine day and finally......isn't it great when you meet such lovely people en-route (it's a certain type of person who you'll find in such areas and on the Pennine Way they may be from literally anywhere in the world).Magic!

Looking forward to being back there again, we did it a few months ago and was one of the reasons why I eventually decided to give the PW another crack. Thanks for watching

I was a bit dubious when I bought a pair of Sealskinz Waterproof Socks, but they are an absolute godsend. I was walking through a constant bog a few weeks ago and my feet stayed bone dry, they even started to get a bit sweaty!

I’m really enjoying watching your travels, I like to think I’d one day be able to do the pennine way, but if not I’ll take pleasure in watching you do it, all the best for the walk ahead, maybe you should mention a charity you’d like folks to donate to

Hi Dean. Really enjoying these daily videos of yours mate. Ive watched a lot of your Peak district videos, and wheras they are very well edited and produced with the music etc, there is an immediacy and spontaneity about these Pennine way videos which is compulsive viewing. I think they really bring out your true persona, good humour, and the fun you're having. I know what you me about the pleasure of long distance walking. Ive completed the Coast to Coast, Cleveland Way, and numerous others. LD walking Is highly addictive and life affirming. Plus doing it on your own you get to meet so many like minded people along the trail. By staying in B and Bs, pubs, YHAs etc you get to meet even more, plus you get a good nights sleep. Also come 3pm in the afternoon you're looking forward to that first pint and a good meal which spurs you on. One question. What made you decide on wearing trail shoes as opposed to hiking boots ?. Good luck with the rest of the walk. You look like you're having a ball. Mel Leese

Thanks for sharing this journey Dean, I'm sure this will go down as one of the great adventure vlog series' of KZbin. I believe the Pennine Way is a brutal challenge, without carrying a camera, filming and editing too. It's been very entertaining and really informative, and to be honest I valued getting a bit of perspective; knowing I'm not the only one who maybe gets a bit unhinged when the going really does get tough in the hills, or finds failed objectives tough to swallow. I hope the remaining days go really well for you. It looks like the weather forecast is on your side for the coming week, touchwood ;)

Another brilliant video like others have said. Enjoy the rest of your trip, hopefully the weather picks up again after today. Hopefully you get good views of High Cup Nick, somewhere on my to-do list.

Nice one Dean, I've been following your journey with interest. The next section, which you're probably doing right now is awesome, definitely the highlight of the trail for me. Some beautiful waterfalls and High Cup Nick is spectacular. So nice in fact, I was back their for a wild camp on Friday just gone. Shame I couldn't have went today, would've been nice to meet you and offer some encouragement. Atb for the rest of the trip. Shaun.

Enjoying your journey so far. Amazed that you are editing it all on an Android phone! Doubly amazed how quickly you can download it to KZbin! If I upload a vlog to YT, something lasting about 16 minutes takes at least 7 or 8 hours. And that's on a desktop with a reasonably good connection? Anyway...good luck with the rest of the trip.

You should try the Bogs of Bowes after 4 pints in the Tan Hill inn. Not recommended! You missed some cracking photo ops at Bowes castle Dean. We parked the minibus in a car park opposite the village hall, and drew a lot of attention from the locals. But the Just Eat curry supper from Barnard Castle made all the difference. We also had lunch at the reservoir car park the next day. Best of luck for the solo section.

At least the bogs weren’t of the eternal stench variety, though your socks maybe heading that way 😂 The hobnobs are certainly powering you along the PW nicely, to hell with the waistline 🤣 After all the lovely yha and b&b you’ll be able to write a PW accommodation guide lol Thanks for sharing Atb Mark

Keep Right On to the End of the Road. Verse 1. You get verse 2 on the next upload:- Ev'ry road thro' life is a long, long road, Fill'd with joys and sorrows too, As you journey on how your heart will yearn For the things most dear to you. With wealth and love 'tis so, But onward we must go.
