I had two 1970 Thunderbolts. In America they were RED. Wonderful bike.

It was a lovely bike, I guess you must have someone happy back then. To think it is almost 50 years old soon.

It wouldn't matter that it is non standard in some respects if you hadn't stated that it is totally original!

Hi Dean, I am looking at a '69 Thunderbolt which I would not be able to try prior to buying. I am wondering how tall are you ? I am 5'6" and am wondering if this bike would be too tall for me. Thanks

It is not original by any means. The Front Fender is an after-market replacement, the Thunderbolt did not have a Tachometer, it also did not have Knee Pads on the fuel tank, the Horn is not original, the Side Cover Decals are not original, the Fuel Tank Cap is not original as well as the Horn, and the BSA Logo is missing from the rear of the Seat. Why are there so many idiots posting videos of numerous Makes with false claims of 'Originality' ?

You are incorrect on quite a lot of what you say. This is a UK spec A65 Thunderbolt and as far as I can see, it is correct for that year.
