Hi Dean, going back a couple of months on this one but my curiosity has gotten the better of me. This chunk of a black barn door GT, What is the go with the colour? Is it just one of those things that happen in nature, or is there an actual species difference here. When i was young growing up, if we caught these, I remember them being referred to by others as TURRUM, But am i correct in saying TURRUM is just another nickname for the GT, like G BANGER etc? Or is a TURRUM another member of the massive multi-species that come under the umbrella of the Trevally Family and has nothing to do with the colour etc. Sorry for my confusing question. I am not 100% sure of the colour thing! They go black on certain parts of their body from contact with the line and the hooks! You can also catch one that is black in the water and changes silver before he gets a photo and then I have had some that are silver in the water and then go black when they are in the boat
