Great comparative review. Deanston 18 is my current fave No1 whisky and the 12 is also stunning. Just ordered the Old Particular Deanston 12 version after viewing your vid. There were only 275 bottles produced from cask DL16329 (the cask no. from your bottle) so I bought 2 knowing it will be a belter. Thanks for your recommendation.

Great video and plenty of resonance with me being a big Deanston fan! I have always bypassed independent Deanstons simply because I enjoy the official bottlings so much. Douglas Laing OP are some of my favourites though so very tempted to pick this one up. I recently finished a Glen Moray 15 Old Particular which was fantastic at £55. Cheers

Deanston 12 is one of the best values on the market here in the USA. I love the other official bottlings as well, but we pay a significant premium above the 12. I just finished my last 12 year old bottle and will definitely be getting a replacement (or two given the current inflation trends)

Glad to hear it is well priced and available in the US. I think its use of ex-bourbon barrels makes it a really great bourbon alternative.

I think is price, Deanston in the US its not a good price scotch, but rather expensive,

In Europe it's fairly cheap. Maybe not cheap but budget friendly.
