Kuroshe Rashidy-The multinational corporations have to much power. I do not believe a woman could do any better than a man. Those corporations control the purse strings of this country. They do not want women to have equal pay. The only way they will allow that to happen is to lower men's wages to the level of women's wages. That would not accomplish anything for the working class. The women would still be at the same income level. In families where there is a man working their yearly income would be lowered. Big businesses want too much profit. This is not going to change. They are too greedy. They have been debating raising the minimum wage. What has happened was a rush to raise the price of products, services, and resulted in higher taxes, and a rush to establish new taxes. Would you believe many of our main highways in Washington State have toles on them which have caused many people to have to quit their jobs because they can't afford to pay them, buy gas, and keep up a car or truck. The cities are cutting their bus routes and our passenger rails (trains) are very limited. The states and cities sit back f I r years d iing nothing to keep up our infrastructure. Now they want to do it when our economy is in ruin. The people don't have much money. Inflation and taxes take most of it. The rich people pay little when it comes to taxes. It barely affects their income. Even small tax amounts hurt the working class. Inflation and higher taxes result in their being able to buy less. Thet can still buy unhealthy white bread forb $1. A loaf of healthy bread costs $4.50 and up to $6 or more. Things are getting worse for everyone except the rich.

Kuroshe Rashidy- I hate to disillusion you, but many women in the US are racist. I grew up in Texas. It took me a while to get over preset ideas about different races pounded into me as a child by teachers, ministers, etc. As I matured and saw the terrible things nonwhites were subjected to, I developed a very analytial mind. I looked beyond the color of the skin at the heart. Women, in a lot of ways are more judgemental than men. Some are extremely racist. I have even heard women say that a woman should not receive equal pay with men. Interestingly they were house wives not working women. I have a neighbor who is very racist. If we can get a woman leader who has spent a lifetime working for human rights through human rights organizations then I think the world would be a better place. America would be a better place. There are too many people in the south and southwest that come from families that kept slaves. That attitude is still very much alive in some of them. Just recently an African American man was found dead, hanging from a tree with a noose around his neck. People teach their children to be racist and to be bullies. When I west to school there was a young girl in my gym class. She was made to attend and to take showers with the rest of us. She was bullied and abused because she was born with 3 breast. They treated her very cruel. The school was cruel to force her to take gym and showers with other girls like them. I felt so bad for her, it made me sick. I might add, though my family was poor, the closest schools were where the rich children went to school. I had to go to the school that children of the rich went to. It really brought home to me how poor we were. Even in the 1950's, the young rich girls wore $25 dresses. That was a lot of money in those days. How we dressed set us apart from the other students. The richer children were the majority there. In America the rich very much seperate themselves from lower income people. They are seperatist.
