Are you folks censoring comments? I'll check again soon. Africa is an awesome continent with equally awesome culture and people. But USA despite its slave trading past and not so perfect present is the place of choice to immigrate to still, isn't it? All of Latin America wants domicile rights in the US, right?

Looking forward to this. Tbh I am yet to hear "Africa was awful, it wasn't for me, I'm moving back to Amerikkka" lol. The only thing I've heard re: having to go back to America was improper planning or rushing out to Africa without adequate savings or an established business idea/active income. I ["think"-opinion base statement] before you come to Africa, you need to look in the mirror first from where you are in the UK, Canada and the United States as once upon a time an African. if you don't see anything or find yourself whilst looking in the mirror, then don't bother visiting Africa. Africans are very serious people in the heat under the sun 24/7, they are very focus smart and highly intelligent people, it's just limited resources sometimes....

I think it's a good idea to have a property in Africa and travel freely back to USA. You dont have to move back permanently but it will give you roots. I live in UK but have a home in Pakistan also. My future generations will thank me. They will able to speak our language by having a free home when they travel and sense of identity.

@@fessellsahmed2587 agreed. Most of us are buying land and building our home when we get out there or buying a home after renting for a period. Why did he say that we need to move from an agricultural economy to a service economy? Agriculture is very important! People will always need food. If you move away from that, you’ll end up importing food.
@tigerhead1981

The reason he said that is there so much food in Africa, yes people need food they, will always need food, create Your own space, from my experience in Africa there are tremendous opportunities that food has nothing to do with. Think about Services that you can offer. Don't try to reinvent the wheel,just enhance the wheel. You see Africa is like a square coin, it's already in motion, just need to round the edges

I could see a bunch of slave minded people coming to Africa with the same corrupt mind and changing the landscape for goid. As we like to say: all skin folks ain't kin folks. Sadly slavery have changed Some of our thought processes forever. We who are coming back are woke and contributing to AFRICAS economy. We need to be reasonable. The last thing Africa needs is a bunch of people coming to bring confusion. We must prove ourselves b4 we get citizenship. We may be entitled, but four hundred years have irrevocably poisoned some of us.

I tell people the conversations that are happening in the Motherland are totally different then U.S.A. Many of Americans of African descent have much healing to do and you have to check your vibe before you get on the plane. Hopefully, I'll be heading back to Sharm or Dahab, within the month, because we're spoiled in American, but, America is never gonna be the same. And, you're so right; there's nothing like working to become a big fish in a small pond, by living among a VERY small number of Americans, wherever you settle. But, for safety sake, especially if it's women only, it's usually best to live among our own, no matter how nice the residents seem to be, towards us. Keep up the good work. And, show 'em how to do It! Shalom

Like anywhere if you're a foreigner you have to pay attention to your daily activities and environment you're in. I met decent people there. I always laughed when the locals would call me Mzungu. 😂 The boda boda rides are cool but can be dangerous. The taxis are a safer alternative. Boda boda drivers are some of the most skilled motorcyclists I've ever seen. If you know how Ugandan traffic works you'll understand what I'm saying. Respect to Uganda.

For Africans who want Africa to develop, look towards the island of Bermuda! More than half of the population is black, no massive oil or natural gas reserves yet the average wage is at about $100k per person! Low taxes, low regulation. Bermuda literally has no corporate taxes. This has brought in investors and made them a hub for insurance companies! Another way to do it is the way China did it, but you need a strong government to do this and it will lead to many low wage manufacturing jobs, but this is a great way to build a middle class. Another method is the Japanese route, look up the Meiji Restoration. Japan brought experts from all over the world in different fields, this built their foundation, from then on expand.
