i know i'm just one of the countless asian-americans whose voices have been silenced for so long, but in light of the terrible events that have been happening, i wanted to share my personal experiences of growing up asian-american. i am also terrible at drawing so maybe you will be able to have a laugh at these sketches despite the heavy topic. :) sending love to all of you guys and stay safe. ❤️

Respect to your parents homie, I can relate as I am not asian american but my ma is a migrant from mexico so I only ever have more respect to your folks as tbh they came from a farther distance. It's truly sad to see the state America is in treating Asians here as they like everyone else are the backbone of this once great natiom.

Thank you for this. I wasn't born in the US. My parents brought me here against my will. To be honest, it was a traumatizing experience. I given US citizenship(which is a liability) against my will. Even though I grew up in the Bay, I was bullied by everyone, including other asians as a kid, because I could not speak English and I was tiny. I got punched and kicked and the teacher laughed at me when my pants were pulled down. At home, I experienced lots of beatings because the teacher told my mom that I was causing trouble. My mom being single was stressed and had to work multiple jobs just to support us. Unlike the model minority myth, I did not do well in school. I could not focus and I was scared. I was told to be thankful because America is the greatest country in the world. I was told that this is the best country to succeed in. I once believed it but now I know it is pure propaganda. America's economy relies on cheap labor. The rich don't want to live with immigrants but they love to employ them. Immigrants are vulnerable so they put up with abuse. I am in a better position now, but that is not because America supported me. It was despite the system working against me.

So how is your life right now? Despite better economical prospects do you feel mentally well?

I am so sorry to hear about all the things you've had to go through - you didn't deserve any of that but you are so so strong for making it through all of that. I'm glad to hear you're doing better now. Massive respect for you for being able to turn it all around and succeed despite America's broken system.

I just wanted you to know I will always be here for you mate if you ever need some extra support. Hope this is not strange or creepy in anyway.

Anti immigrant sentiment is common during times of crisis. It is sad that Asian Americans are being treated badly because of Covid and our decent into the 2nd Cold War. Hopefully it will calm down soon.

"So relatable," said the cap-tain. "Great drawings too. Whoo. Super sad to see young Asians feel bad about their own cultures due to how they are treated. Very sad to hear about Asians getting attacked just for their race. Also tiko that society excludes and ignores Asians. When they speak out about their struggles, they are silenced and put down, even mocked. Very few Asians in the entertainment industry, dudes not signed because because they were Asian, many instances of Asians getting rejected for a non-Asian to play Asian characters in movies, etc. So many tiko things. Wished dudes would just come together and help each other." The cap-tain shep then took a bow and did a flip. "Hurrah," cheered the friend camp.
