Agreed. People today are either too self righteous and won’t admit when they’re wrong even if they know it because they’re too proud, or they’re scared to admit they’re wrong because they’re taught that when someone is wrong they’re bad because being wrong is bad. There is nothing bad about being wrong, no one is perfect and we all make mistakes and are wrong about something. We need to spread that message more because it shouldn’t be such a rare thing to see people openly accept and admit they were wrong. I will always respect people who admit when they’re wrong or are able to see the other person’s point, i just wish it was more common

No it’s just mainly liberals who refuse to hear truth or other opinions. They can’t have a conversation because the moments truth gets involved their entire ideology collapses. They can’t handle truth and no amount of facts or evidence will change their mind because they are not open to that. Obviously there are def far right people like that but it’s generally damn near all modern liberals. I’ve seen it first hand and hear about it and see it everyday. They don’t want to talk and they hate anybody who doesn’t agree with them

@@eunomiac The presence of the third comma indicates the significance of the line as an eye opener towards current beliefs and expectations of hearing, the brief little pause the last comma provides provides a short amount of time for the listener to grasp the importance of the role of women in creating the creators. This concept somewhat defies expected statements regarding this topic. To further demonstrate the sheer beauty in the art of creation, be it in the first case or the second, a brief pause is provided before revealing the immense importance of women, and that's what the comma signifies. I generally don't overlook minor details, and this comment wasn't an exception. (Edited in a play of words with a repeat of the word 'provide' to humorously demonstrate attention to detail)

Fight me and win on your merits means that you deserve the resources. It’s better to lose to honestly then to win because of communist propaganda. If woman’s rights needs such resources then by all means but if some other rights such as men’s rights need those resources then they should win.

The part about “wrongly accused” so rung a bell for me. Not often, but several times during my career. I saw how men and women claiming domestic violence victimhood were significantly treated differently. I will share the one that sticks in my crawl, the most, even after all these decades. As a Police Officer ( now retired) in a metro of nearly 200K pop at the time, I took & investigated a complaint of Domestic Violence-Related Kidnapping. The complainant gave a verbal and written account of how her ex-husband used the presence of wanting to work some things out, held her hostage and in fear of her life for hours until they happened to stop for a traffic signal near her mom’s house. There she claimed to have jumped out of the car and fled to Mom’s house. She gave vague times and locations (citing mental trauma) but an intimately detailed description of their clothes and car. Because of how our State & local laws & policies were written I was either to locate the subject & interview him (as in -functionally- locate & communicate with him within about half an hour), or put out an Apprehension Request on him (essentially jail him until either I or a Judge spoke to him). Even if I communicated with him, if there was even a reasonable possibility that the complainant was correct, he would still be jailed. I actually found him at home about 10 minutes after I finished speaking with the complainant. He was cooperative and came with me to the department for questioning. His account paralleled that of the complainant with significant differences. He gave very specific location and time information of their whereabouts for the evening and question. He stated that she had wanted to celebrate his birthday by going out that evening. He further said the night ended nicely with her, giving him a kiss goodbye in the car, getting out, and then actually running down the block as he left… To give him one more good night kiss through his driver window. I knew the locations given, and all were known to have excellent video security elements. Within 48 hours, I had obtained five, good quality to excellent quality video accounts of what occurred that evening evening - including (miraculously) an owner voluntarily submitted ring, doorbell, video of the , Chase and second good night kiss. In contacting the complainant back for a secondary interview, she double downed on her account, claiming that he had actually choked her in the car just before she jumped out and escaped. When I completed the investigation, I referred the complainant to the district attorneys office For two counts of filing a false police report, and one count of obstructing an officer (because the video evidence completely exonerated the subject, and completely contradicted the complaints story). The end result was the district attorney declined to press charges. In a quote off the record” conversation some months later, a secretary told me that the talk in the office was that it would not look good at election time to have charged a female, domestic violence complainant such charges. Further, I received a verbal and written “tongue, lashing“ from one of our detective captains regarding my investigation. I was specifically told that, instead of wasting my time, trying to prove the complaints guilt, I should have concentrated my efforts on, proving the subject was guilty. my options going forward were to either drop the batter, or risk being suspended for insubordination (putting both my and my family’s livelihood at risk). Yes - there is a significant discrepancy when it comes to how persons on this topic are treated in the legal and judiciary system: and it is not even handed.

I feel like I could prepare him very well, but I also feel like I'd constantly be the voice of doom and that's how he'd remember me. I feel like raising a daughter in this era might be a tad easier. Idk. I feel like if I just taught her all the things I wish my mother knew and all the things people were surprised she knew, she'd be more than ok. Idk. I helped raise a little cousin and she's still mad at me today for how I did her hair 20 years ago. 😂😂

I feel you, brother I'm also a single dad to a daughter who, like your daughter, is closer to me than her mother, in fact, she doesn't even acknowledge her mother as being her mother, saying that "She doesn't deserve the title" and she's right Just like in your situation, I also was cheated on, or I suspected that she'd cheated on me at least, I ended up paying child support to her mother's Aunt and Uncle whom she'd surrendered her parental rights of our daughter to and prior to my being able to appear in court for custody of my daughter, I was arrested for a BS charge, which was eventually thrown out of court for lack of evidence and that was enough to make the lawyer representing me to tell me that she'd felt that my only options were: Voluntarily surrendering my parental rights to my daughter and still having the chance to have visitation with her Or Go to trial, get my parental rights taken from me anyway and never get to see her again

As a man I've always felt in the very back of my mind like my feelings don't matter as much. Even in a disagreement with a girl if the girl starts to cry I feel awful, as if "look what I've done." even if I know that deep down I'm feeling just as much emotional pain as they are. I've always felt like the pain that I feel must not matter as much because I'm not as good at outwardly expressing my emotions in ways such as tears. I've also been physically hit or at least slapped by almost every girl I've dated long term, yet I've never lifted a hand to a girl. Some of my male friends have told me the same, but it's something very strange to talk about. I've always known I could never "fight back" because if a guy shows physicality it's more "wrong" and I could easily go to jail. The documentary Cassie made really hit me hard. I'd call it a must watch no matter what your view point.

What an amazing human. She brought up concerns that I, as a grown man with two boys, have been thinking about for years. To be able to see “the other side” is not common for anyone. I’m guilty of failing at it just like everyone else. When my boys are old enough to fully grasp what she’s saying, I will be showing them her speeches and documentaries. What a great lesson for them. This is what a leader looks like. I bet her parents are very proud of her.

I think she actually covers this topic in her documentary. Because worldwide, "human rights" mostly just means women and children. I forgot the exact UN clause but nowhere does it explicitly mention men, but it does for women and children. Perhaps we need to be the first to change that, but I understand why she isn't using the phrase "human rights".

It's largely, if not all rooted in assumption. That and the inability to admit you're wrong. If you can admit when you're wrong and catch yourself when you assume something (whether true or not, but especially if not), you'll notice that conflicts that arise in your life will get nowhere near as bad as they were before being this way. If more people did that, emotionally charged arguments would be a lot more uncommon. Sadly much of modern culture promotes and incentivizes irrationality, hivemind mentality, and even psychological/emotional manipulation, if only subliminally.

Damn, I hope you never have to go through that again. At least now you can definitely take a stand for men's rights if you want now that you have a personal example. Whenever I (and probably the majority of other people) try to mention stuff about how men are generally treated worse than women when it comes to support, I can never come up with anything concrete even though I know perfectly well that there are situations like yours where women get far superior treatment. When I talk about how men have specific problems too I get explanations about how women suffer from the same problems among other things (and stuff about how some women get it even worse), when the point I'm trying to make is that EVERYONE can need support. Apparently when a group of women need support they can get support without any given to men, but when men need support you can't be sexist and have to let women take some too, regardless of how much is already available for women and how much men need it. Sorry if the rant isn't appreciated, I just hope you're alright and never have to face femminism against men to your own detriment ever again.

That's the problem with double standards. If feminists want to attain equality there are privileges that need to be given up in exchange for removing the disadvantages. Children are used as bargaining chips against men in divorce. Why? If a father is given 50% custody, he is expected to be grateful and willing to give up something else (usually money / property)... Why is that not a right? If not for the father's, then a right of the children?

This hit me in my feels when she got to the part about domestic abuse shelters. I was married to an abusive woman and when I hit my breaking point I tried to reach out for help, but every shelter I went to and every resource I contacted told me 'I'm so sorry, we are only equipped to assist women. You'll have to figure this out yourself."

Not only that but so many of our youth are fearful of coming to shelters for fear of theives, abusers, pimps etc. The things I have seen at shelters make my hair stand on end. I would like to see pod rooms that can lock and allow people to feel safe. I wish we took the concept of pod living and community gardening and mental health centers smashed them together and helped people meld back into society at their own pace and in a way they can sleep without one eye open and with their arms tied through their shoulder bags!

Cassie, your unique way of self disclosure; of openly showing how you confront and overcome your own prejudice in such an honest, incisive way, not only demonstrates how genuine you are, it also challenges your audience in a blindingly clever way. You are literally yanking the covers off of their narrow mindedness, laying bare their resistance to listening and their prejudice. And they willingly applaud you for it. Just brilliant.

You've been in this 'fight' for years. You've been the face of 'the enemy' for longer than I've even known there was such a thing as men's rights. You have been dragged through the mud, tarred and feathered, and put on the chopping block of society. And you stand strong, with dignity and integrity through it all. I'm not the first, and I won't be the last, but I just want to let you know how much you've done for me, personally, even though you don't have a clue who I am. @michael coslo; I've met Cassie several times at screenings and spent time with her and her colleagues afterwards. I won't claim to know her well, but I rather doubt she'd actively seek to destroy her husband. Just maybe, once, she might have, but it's evident from what she's said publicly about her experiences in making _TRP_ that she has changed her way of looking at these things. So I think it unlikely now.

Not all women seek to destroy their husbands during a divorce but that still does not mean that divorce and family courts don't unfairly favor women. There is still no upside to marriage for a man, it is still a one sided contract.

The hard thing about this issue is that most times our reality and our truth is defined by our own beliefs. So much so that truth and belief become interchangeable. So when someone is telling the truth, it's perceived by many as it's their truth or it's their beliefs. So essentially, confirmation of the truth doesn't mean much because which truth is it? Whose truth is it? That's where the issue is.

That line I feel expresses a lot of modern mindsets. People keep trying to be offended, which blinds any logical thinking and trying to understand the other person. It has probably existed for a while, but the media has been very influential in recent times, and this mindset is one of the sources of sjw's. They aren't necessarily bad, but you hear about a lot of them making a bad name for the whole movement because they believe in their own self-righteous ideals and that other people's opinions will and should offend them, so they can prove themselves right.

When you find someone equal to you you'll realize what it is, don't jump into it test it. It someone that you love the flaws you love everything about them. If you lie to yourself about the flaws you'll end up in divorce. Be truthful to yourself and those around you I was duped by liberal once before. I never talked about politics before I married terrible decision, for Democrats tend to over spend on every budget or won't listen to any budget. I was told that some people were meant to be poor yet we both worked full time and I was responsible for paying all the bills and she wanted no part in our budget. I was making less then $20 an hour take home pay. She lost her income when she went full time with Obama care. Take home pay was $2 an hour. She couldn't afford anything on here own but I loved her so I gave her every chance to make it right but she ignored my plea's for help so I divorced her I gave her 2 years and she didn't start her process until I gave her the divorce papers. The divorce was her reality check and it was probably the best thing for her. The last time I saw or talked to her was 3 years ago and she said I was right about everything.

That was the most disheartening but honest line in the whole talk. Identity politics (and critical race theory) are designed to dehumanize anyone who holds different views, in an attempt to silence those views. Through shame and social pressure if possible, or through cancel culture and petitions to punish people by destroying their livelihoods if not.

It was hosted by the Men's Educational Support Association(M.E.S.A.) which I was a founding Charter signing member of in the mid 90's.
