This was so helpful! Thank you so much! Always enjoyed sketching especially architecture. I just got my first Apple product in 25 years... iPad with new pencil and I'm loving it. I would love to see more videos on this topic of new to Procreate from an architectural point of view. 👍👍 Rob from NJ

As an Architect I love Procreate and I use in my daily basis, but for most of the task you mentioned here, the Morpholio Trace is a way to go, I've learned how to use both and I'm in love, can't live without these 2 apps! Love your channel!! Keep it up!!!!!

@@iPadForArchitects I start with procreate, to develop my first idea, I don't use paper anymore kkkk at least to start a drawing, I do diagrams, forms etc etc, and when I'm happy, I go to trace, because in trace I can use rules and so on, after all I go to revit to finish the project!

I’m not an architect but a junior concept artist for videogames, and only recently I’m trying to paint environments. The main problem is dealing with perspective and geometry, which even with locked guides on procreate can be stressful and even boring sometimes. One of the best advices for me is checking lot of references, both from photos and other people works.

@@ok_listen that's an interesting idea! I sort of did one already, but it may have been longer than was useful. How do you visualize something like that happening? Tell me more

@@iPadForArchitects about critiques? For what I've saw around, advertise in your socials (?) about the said thing, so that your fans can send you their work. In order to grow skill-wise, people (especially young ones) tend to partecipate in these things. Then break down their work judging with your experience and giving some advice. Experienced environment artists from animation/gaming studios made private courses out of this! There are plenty around youtube; im talking about them and not about architects because thats my field, but it can apply to pretty much everything ;)

Hi. Which model ipad would you recommend for an architect? I don't have a tablet at the moment. I want to get into drawing digitally. Also, as I am not using a tablet at the moment and I'm struggling with the thought of spending so much money on something that I am not sure will really help with my productivity. What is your thoughts on this? Is it worth the cost?

If you do decide to go for it, get the new M1 iPad as soon as they make it in 12" version. This will pay dividends for a long time to come. It will also let you use more powerful programs coming in the future. As to your question of whether or not its worth it, I can only speak for myself that it has been. A lot depends on your workflow. Watch as many videos as you can from Shapr-3D and Morpholio Trace and see if they match your style, too.
