Canadian born now living in Boston and I can't wait to sing the anthem with pride at my local pub the Phoenix Landing. You'd be surprised how many of us are in Boston! Ooh ah Canada. As Herdman said we aren't here to just say we made it. Belgium will be tough but Croatia can be beaten as most of the team has gotten older. We are young and hungry and will advance from our group.

As I suspected from his goal celebrations, Sam comes across as a guy you'd want to have over for dinner or to go for drinks with. I had a feeling in the game against the US the he really, really wanted to score against them when he had a chance earlier...then he started the move that ended up with him taking charge and scoring that wonder goal for his first international goal. Congrats, Sam. My friend and I both said, when watching your debut for Whitecaps, "that guy's amazing!"
