Dear Evan Hansen Animatic: For Forever

Hello again everyone! Today I bring you For Forever! Making this animatic was a very different experience from making my previous two, both in the way the I made it (I used animate!) and the way i had to think about telling the story. This song takes place almost entirely in Evan's mind. Instead of a conflict between characters, I had to figure out how to make a wishful fantasy believable. So I wanted to tell the story of For Forever from Evan convincing himself of his fantasy to eventually coming to remember his loneliest hour. I hope that in five minutes, I can convince you of evan's fantasy too :D
Also, since I have not seen the musical myself, this animatic is basically my interpretation based on what other animatics have done (with a sprinkle of some creative liberty here and there!). Enjoy!

The therapist discussing Silver Linings Playbook once said something about if both people had chronic disorders, they could have impact on each other and be good help to each other, but in the end they would still needed professional help It makes me so sad that that could be them and it just :(( didn't happen :(( they could have been besties :(( out to help each other help themselves :(( I am still in pain

Honestly though, I've seen many different DEH animations but this is definitely the best. I like the fact that everyone shown the whole story (when Connor helped Evan), and you just showed what really happened, that he was alone and no-one came to help him. Great work

The little ending part was so sad yet says a lot. The only times Evan and Conner talked was of course in the beginning of the musical but who knows, the boys maybe could have helped each other. It's a really sad thought, For Forever and of course your animatic brings that sad reality to light.

As creators it's so easy to forget, but I'm glad this made you happy! ❤️ I completely understand, I'm currently in the middle of creating an animatic myself and it's a lot of hard work and dedication. The fact that you've done so many is awesome. Honestly, I was kind of studying how you did some effects in these haha and how you chose to move things around and it's awesome.
