Some months ago I bought what was supposed to be a second hand fender player telecaster. When I tried it at home, I noticed the pick ups sounded too dark... I checked the pick ups under the hood and they were sire t7 pick ups. I returned the guitar to the seller. It didn't sound bad. But it was not what I thought I was buying and it didn't sound like a hmmm fender!

I've had a HSS S7 for about 6 months now, coming back to guitar after almost 30 years, My last guitar was a late 80's Charvel super strat type with a pretty slim neck, and I was into the hair metal thing so it was perfect for that. Now I'm more into classic rock, and just an intermediate player. Really like the S7, but I must admit, some days I miss the slimmer neck profile, so the S10 is tempting. But I think maybe the next one is Les Paul type for some dirty tone and serious string bending.

I bought a Sire P8 to be the 1 bass in my guitar collection. The neck was so smooth to play on that it convinced me that I also needed a strat with a similar style of neck. Ended up with a Fender Vintera ii 😆

Marcus Miller once had a pretty cool (looking) MIJ Fender Jazz in a natural finish and a Sadowsky-inspired pre-amp. It wasn't actually very good. I picked up one as a pawn shop rescue and the pre-amp died and the neck wasn't playable after the 12th fret. Marcus Miller wanted a signature instrument which was affordable, and I can see why he got fed up with Fender. He's been with Sire a long time now.

I went into a large local guitar store 2 years ago intent on buying a semi hollow body gibson 335 style guitar with a $500 budget. I played at least thirty guitars and left with a $275 Ibanez that played at least as well as a real 335. I put a pair of seymour duncan hot rodded pickups in it, some G and B benders and a good setup and it plays and sounds amazing. I love it when guys with $3K+ guitars ask me what in the hell it is, and how does it sound that good. 😁

I own a v10 ( my n1 gigging bass) a p8 n a v7 which i defretted... I have an american jazz that has become a back up really ... I think Sire make great instruments for the money ... i think they are starting to cut corners now with qc.. Had to return a P8 as the battery compartment kept on failing on active mode ... had to have a replacement n unfortunately that one had issues too but i managed to sort it our by putting some thin cardboard to push the 2 battery snug to get contact... what i'm saying is ... i'm a proud Sire owners of 3 basses n 2 guitars even with a bad experience.. i had other Site instruments i traded .. only one bad apple .... the necks usually are the selling point. I must admit the Marcus Miller preamp is really punchy n i shaped my band sound around it ... doing D&B n reggae influenced dubby deep style is perfect... i looove the Fender jazz look n neck radius which Sire took on board... I REALLY DISLIKE THE HEADSTOCK ( Sire obviously 😂😂😂)... It's better for guitars n L or H range .... I 'm obsessed with block inlays so the aesthetic element is paramount ... last but not least i think Sire are expanding too much n i'm concerned the bubble has burst
