"Imagine any other major company need four weeks to ship out one small plastic part" Two points. 1: They sold out, it happens. Imagine if they were making them in China or somewhere and they were on the slow boat around the world - could have been _months_ delay! It's not like they manufacture this model continuously. It's expensive sure, but it's very very low volume. Maybe they normally only run the production for it twice a year. 2: This happens depressingly often with parts for cars and electricals... "What do you mean the nearest part is in Italy and it's going to take 6 weeks to get here? My boiler is broken, it's mid winter and I'm freezing"
@iamfishmind

hello, computer repair technician here with a comment on replacement part turnaround. most if not all laptop manufacturers do not have replacement parts at all for new product lines, sometimes for up to 6 months after launch. I have seen warranty units sit on my shelf or at depot for months with little info on when parts will be produced and made available. to be clear, we are an official warranty repair center for these brands, they direct their customers to bring their computers to is. this is for brand new high-end systems that often cost a good bit more than $2k. bear in mind, the products are often used by customers for work; because of that, many people cannot go without a laptop for more than a few days without a considerable negative impact on their livelihood. further, even if parts are in stock, if you are ordering parts from a manufacturer based in Taiwan (msi, Acer, etc), and there are no parts available domestically (or it's under warranty and you have to order directly from the manufacturer), they ship parts from Taiwan **by BOAT** . it takes a month minimum to arrive where I'm located. what I'm getting at is, these kinds of issues are logistical, the problems persist across many industries and affect companies much larger and more profitable than GW. just a little context.
@BarokaiRein

It takes them 4 weeks to cast this one piece because they have to make sure it's absolutely perfect with zero issues with the mold. Afterall, this is forgeworld we're talking about, quality control to their level takes time. Nobody has ever bought anything from forgeworld and had issues with the model and certainly nobody has asked for a replacement piece, only to have that replacement piece be just as fucked up as the piece it was replacing.

I order OOP stuff from a shop in the USA that have a shipping option that bypasses all the major North American freight carriers and their fees and tariffs (not saying shipping is free but this is their most cost effective shipping). Now I live in Canada, literally right across the border from where the stuff is shipping from. I could drive there and get it but that would cost more than shipping with gas prices, wear and tear on the vehicle, and time out of the other things I could be doing. So, getting to how this relates, this shipping option takes a little detour THROUGH SWEDEN to go from the USA to Canada, and that has NEVER taken FOUR WEEKS! Sorry for your pain Emil. I used to work at one of the GW retail stores and even as an employee I had to wait a loooooong time for a personal order that I made for a massive amount of metal minis to get picked and sent. Worth the wait but still frustrating. One more thing, having been sick for the last 6 or 7 weeks myself, I wish you all the best in your recovery. Please, take it easy and get better, Emil. We need your content here, it is one of the BEST!

To be honest, I think this is because it's such a large model that almost nobody buys. GW are very pressed for storage space right now, and their factories are working on a constant backlog until they can buy a third, as confirmed by Peachy (ex GW staff) on the Painting Phase podcast. I've always had a very positive experience with GW customer service. The few times there's been a missing part (like the Banner from my Lothlorien heroes LOTR blister) they've always sent me out a new product quickly and never even required me to provide proof of the fault, and i've never had to send back the damaged product.

Kom ihåg att ni startade er framgångssaga bara genom att göra saker ni gillade - och att andra råkade gilla det ni skapade. Så skynda långsamt och skjut in lite såna här avsnitt då och då. Not to justify all GW stupid but it is forgeworld (niche subcompany). Apparently they dont even make space marines the right scale. I had issues with regular GW mail order, and this company is GW to GW. @@TheThewhatnow so the titans were free. Value and what you pay for something are completely different things. They traded up to the titans, they didn't make a video series saying "we bought 2 titans" If everyone paid the value of something, there would be no second hand car market...for example
@TheThewhatnow
@TheThewhatnow Жыл бұрын
@@yanceyboyz In every video they make about the project, they make a big deal of telling the audience about how much these titans are worth, or have you not watched any of their videos? They spent months trading up models and armies to get to this point, you are basically saying the whole diorama is worthless and all that work is worthless, i guess you think they should just sell it for 0$ and make nothing for charity? It’s such a strange hill to die on. If they decided to just straight up sell the parts that went into making the diorama before starting the project, then that is the value of the diorama, and choosing not to sell the parts is the “cost” of making it, it’s not a hard concept to grasp. The end result will probably be worth far more then that to a collector.

dude videos are in general just better quality when the creators are well rested and have fun. So its not just the right decision for you mental health but also for your channel to take your time! btw its insane how much better the quality of your videos are. I watched a few of your first videos and compared to your latest videos. The script, feeling camera is so much better :D!

I’ve been doing a lot of “proxy” 40k stuff. Paid $200 for a full sized and detailed Titan recently and it’s got me excited again

LOL ;:DD Bro. First time ordering FW? This is the Normal way FW operates! Half of your models will have Warped or missing Peaces. When you get the replacement it might still be defect in some way. If you get it at all. Best go through your Bank and book your money back.

I love your different series of planned content.. however, you guys just having fun creating and painting are incredibly relaxing and satisfying to watch as well. Please keep taking care of your wellbeing… its easy to take for granted. Anyway, warm greetings from Utrecht, the Netherlands ! Cheers 😙

It is truly wild how bad Forgeworld’s quality control is. I don’t think I have ever seen someone build a Titan that wasn’t missing pieces, heavily damaged, or warped and misprinted out of the box. It feels like they’re just being lazy because GW is such a big name in the hobby space, but frustrations like that add up, and it’s a good time to remind ourselves that there are other ways to have fun in this hobby!

Not sure what's going on at GW, maybe they are getting too many orders? I waited 8 weeks for my Cadia stands army set, that was in stock.

I heard apparently they changed up how they handle their warehouse logistics with some new automated system and it has not worked properly causing a ton of orders to get backed up and not sent out on time. Though that was just stuff i heard online so no idea if its true, could be bullshit.

Could be a regional thing, I just ordered the space wolves combat patrol and it got to me within a week, excluding 2 non business days, and I’m in northeast US, could also be that I ordered a combat patrol, I imagine those are shipped out pretty frequently

2:48 Especly at those prices I mean that's just good business practice to have spares laying around for this very reason... But yeah imagine Lego or Bandai doing this?

Take your time, relax, get better, do what you want and if you share with us it's a bonus but not as important as health (physical and mental). On a side not I'm astonished by games workshop customer support from your personal experience. In comparison I had to deal with the Lego one a few days ago when I bought a set for my kid. It was missing a brick. I easily found the support page form, I provided the set number id and the brick id. Paid nothing, no email, and received the missing brick a week later from Germany. Sure it might not be a complex piece or a rare one but still, easy form, no bullshit no providing the invoice or paying anything....

I think these kind of videos are the best of your content. Showing a happy time painting and hobbying is the best. Take care of your mental health and do show your smaller projects!

I really enjoyed this video. I’m sure the algorithm probably doesn’t like it but I’d love to see more videos just like this. Just “this is what I’m working on for fun.” And more of a hobby blog then a massive project. Like I love the dioramas, but this video just felt fun? And restful and joyous?
