It's always flooded down there. It's something to do with the lower rouge basin draining into the middle rouge just above the Ford plant... Problem has been there for years. Basically they get flooded out so that henry ford's estate don't flood...that's a more simple way to explain it

We are more than constituents, we Are the People, meaning the People under which these elected officials Serve! Aside from recent events, the entire Rouge river basin has had some major improvements, in say 25ish years, many of which has had a positive benefit to all of us who live within this zone. However the redirect and "control" of the Rouge river system has been historically so important that a mass produced automobile kicking off a massive industrial revolution never would have taken place if not for our Rouge river and it's tributaries. Personally I know very little, but if interested in this subject look into Nankin and Nankin Mills and all related. Search Nankin and Henry Ford.

Idk about how life was like in the 1960's , I did move to District 7 in 1979 grew up on Raymond off of Powers/Eton it flooded through out my teen years " seems to flood after heavey rain/ storms! They need to quit turning off the flood water evacuation pumps on the freeways that get the water to the Detroit river and quit trying to say it's climate change, these government officials are doing this and then throwing up their hands and saying they don't know how they got shut off........... Then they try to make themselves look like heroes when they get disaster relief from the crooked Biden administration...... It's a fact, I've seen these pumps in action for years, because I'm in the construction industry and been in several of them, that's what they are there for....
