Why do people try to compare the love God has for us to the love humans have for us. We can never and will never be as perfect as him. You're only going to hurt yourself trying. Weird.
@censaim Жыл бұрын
@@queenmeiika1 God designed earthly relationships with the purpose to reflect God's love. A husband's love is supposed to look like Christ's love for His church. The love between brethren should imitate the love of God. The relationship between a parental father figure should look like the heavenly Father figure. These are the purposes of those relationships. We should be able to see the love of God reflected in the people of God. It is not an insult to God to compare a husband's love to God's love, it is an honor and shows the faithfulness of that person. It is not weird at all, it is Biblical. For because of the love shown between the brethren, will others be able to identify them as children of the most high God. We can recognize God's love in people without expecting perfection out of them.

Someone mentioned Raven’s voice being so gentle but at times almost sounding like she’s about to preach and I agree. Another observation I had is that when she spoke from herself (like when Laterras told her to look in the camera and speak), her words were brief… almost like she was timid or didn’t have much to say. But whenever she quoted scripture or talked about the goodness of the Lord or her her marriage, there was such power in her voice… even through her gentle tone. The Holy Spirit was definitely moving through this couple to tell their story. I don’t know if she has a women’s ministry but I feel like there are so many lessons we could learn from her.

I’m not the most beautiful woman in the world externally but I think when men get to know me they think I’ve got the qualities to be their wife. I’ve actually been running from men since before my teens. I don’t understand why women are finding it so hard to get a man. I got married at 18 and 16 years later my oldest son, as we were walking from the parking lot to the store, turned to me and said, “mama do you realize that everywhere we go men are looking at you?”All kinds of bells and whistles went off inside of me, I began to feel as if I was walking in slow motion, I didn’t know that my son could see it. That’s when I realized that if he could see it so could my husband. My friends also could see it although I’ve always kept my circle small with no more that 3-4 ladies because things could get messy otherwise. I was always shifting from friends because of the jealousy and even their boyfriends would try to hit on me. Although they know my integrity as a Christian woman there’s always a question about me crossing the line even after I tell them that I would never do that. It’s not that serious.

This episode 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼😭🔥🔥 The reason why people walk away from marriage is because they don’t believe it will ever get better!!! Bruh!!!! THAT’S IT!!!! We triumphed and made it 20 years (this October 12) after bitter betrayal in our marriage at year 10. The night I looked over at my husband in hurt and disgust over what he did to me… to our family and said “celebrating 10 years should be the happiest day of my life and it’s not because of you,” I shall never forget. The pain was searing and if defeated was a person it would have been him that night. I exited the restaurant after resisting the urge to throw my plate of food in his face. As I sat in the car sobbing and looking at the droop in his shoulders through the window… I said Lord I can’t stay with him!!! But the Lord revealed that all the coldness, cussing him out and jabs he was enduring from me cause He knew my hurt was talking was the point at which most quit cause they don’t believe it will ever get better. He told me there was nothing I could do wrong in his eyes at that point. He offered to let me punch him in the face if it would make me feel better. I declined…. But he refused to believe I would always be in that space and HE WAS RIGHT! I healed, we rebuilt trust and cried a river together a many day. But here we are…. Just like these two. GOD IS AMAZING!!! He can restore and it won’t always be a mess if yall allow HIM in.

I resent him so much and it's because of what I saw and what he told me when I was taking care of my mother before she died. I asked God to take this hate from me and these 2 young people are the beginning of my breakthrough. I never thought I was worthy of a good relationship or forgiveness. This interview just changed my life. There’s so much to take from the different levels of faith and tenacity from this couple that can be applied not just in romantic relationships but in life general. I was guided to this page from the funny video of sis’s wig falling off only to be lead to receive such profound word and guidance! I will say as inspiring as it is, I notice a staple point is the foundation that a man like Keith came from a strong strong parental background… i had some grief while watching in knowing that my struggle with my latest partner is so deeply rooted in lack there of this kind of up bringing and example 🙏🏾😭 it makes me want to bring so much more god into my life tho. That i will say! So much of a blessing within itself. Thank y’all!

I was married 23 yrs and my spouse cheated and we divorced. 4 children together he was my first everything. It didn’t take that long for me to release him in forgiveness but I said out loud during your podcast that I forgive her. This is the most beautiful representations of Gods purpose for marriage I have ever seen. Every revelation that I gained from sitting with Him alone to learn about love and marriage was confirmed here. EVERY single thing He showed me. I truly believe God is about to usher in a wave of Kingdom marriages and this union has served as a forerunner. It has served as a vision of where God is leading his children and why He is bringing us together in the first place...to to go out two by two and tear down generational strongholds. I love this so much, my heart is full!!

This was so good. Amazing maturity and wisdom from this young husband, and humility and gratitude from the wife. Walked thru this as the betrayed spouse 13 years ago after 18 years of marriage. (Just celebrated our 32nd.) I chose to forgive, heal and stay because my spouse was (eventually) repentant and also desiring to heal and stay. Restoration takes the Lord and BOTH spouses willing to go all in. We went *public* (without a real online platform) and people also tried to condemn us for sharing. But our testimony, like the Hartwells, was for the glory of God and for others to see that restoration is possible! May God continue to bless and grow Keith and Raven as they CLING to God and to one another. Thanks Laterras for bringing them to all of us. 🙌🏾

Raven talked about how her childhood affected their relationship, it’s actually crazy how this happens. I told myself I would not act like my parents in my marriage, now I’m realizing I have been doing the exact same things! I was complaining to my husband about my parents and when I said it, I thought, wow this sounds familiar 😔. But God has showed me where I need to repent and I am learning to be better to my husband and podcasts like this are teaching us new ways to think. Also it’s just amazing how this man is showing his forgiveness. I think so much of the reason people don’t want to forgive a spouse for cheating is because we don’t want to look like a fool. Seeing other people forgive and come out on the other side, it’s encouraging.

I went thru a similar situation where my wife cheated with a co worker and I took her back and it’s been a year and we have grown so much from that situation. I throughly enjoyed this story and this couple. When she said she called him immediately my body just got chills and that right there was beautiful because even after getting pleasure she still decided to contact her husband. My wife quit her job immediately and that’s what made me take her back as well she cut her hair immediately she just changed everything for me to forgive me and for god to forgive her. Healing has been hard and I was talking to myself today about this situation and this video had popped up because I was back in my feelings again. I’m not emotionally 100% healed because I feel like I will never be fully happy again because I can’t let myself be vulnerable again. Good morning Laterras, and DFW Family. Once again, this was a L.I.T. episode. So many gems, so many vulnerable moments. This episode, and this couple had me crying a few times. Laterras, I know I sound like a broken record when I say (often) that the episodes of your podcast keep confirming things to me. This one did it again. When Keith and you talked about protecting and covering your woman (girlfriend/fiancée/wife), I was literally reminding myself yesterday that it is what I want in my future husband (someone who is intentional about protecting and covering me). I am so thankful to you Laterras for bringing someone on your podcast who understands what it means to love your wife, mistakes, warts and all. I guess there is still hope for us single folks? I would add that I related to the wife’s childhood hurts and traumas, I am glad she shared them with us. It’s freeing to hear someone else mentioning it, and knowing that we are not crazy, we are not stupid for being affected by childhood issues. I thank your guests for their honesty, and for their vulnerability. It will help me in my healing process. Thank you as well Laterras, for speaking into their lives, even though you did not go as deep as you could have gone. There is so much more I would like to say, however I will stop here. Thank you to the whole DFW Team, you guys bring excellence every week. Thank you for being a great interviewer, Laterras.

I would add that, as someone who lost two siblings when I was young (and who saw what grief does to parents), I cried when both talked about losing their child. That was painful to hear, however I am grateful that they kept talking through their (painful) emotions, and I am grateful as well that Laterras did not rush the process. Thank you for sharing your pain with us, as difficult as that must have been. We (I) were not voyeur to your pain. As a nanny, I always want to understand parents better, and you both helped me do that. I will be praying for you, for your family, and for your ministry. I (like you both), have a deep desire to stop the generational curses in my family. Thank you for reminding us of how important it is to do that. I pray blessings upon you (the guests), and blessings upon the DFW Team (including Laterras and his family).
