Wow! I have a very similar story! We met when I was in high school (he's 4 years older). We had a child together, broke up, and eventually married other people. My cousin was getting divorced and had a "waiting to exhale" party. He messaged me at the party. At this time I was divorced. Who knew that on the other side of town, he was having a conversation about me. His friends told him to call me, so he did. We went to breakfast the next day. We talked for hours! So long, in fact, they ended up kicking us out of the restaurant! We reconnected in ways neither of us expected! This was one year ago...we are getting married in May 2024! Love CAN survive decades! People grow and change. Will is very self-aware and he has given account for his mistakes. He's a real sweetheart and a gift from God that I treasure! Reunited and it feels SO GOOD!!! #Newson2024

When Gregg spoke about not leaving his wife even if she were to cheat, that immediately struck a chord within me and made me think of Hosea and Gomer, and God's command for husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the Church. How often do we cheat on God? Jow often do we create idols in our lives and turn to them instead of turning to HIM? But He still pursues us because His love is unfailing. What a beautiful couple and wonderful episode!

I love that Laterras pointed out how the husband placed his hand on his wife's thigh, as she told the story of her first marriage. I noticed it and thought, "What Great Support". Then when Laterras decided to explore it and dissect the meaning of such a gesture, the meaning resonated with the part of me, as a single woman, who prays to have such covering from the one who will find me. "WE made that decision." Talk about being as one. My hearts cry. Okay let me keep watching.

Laterras, I wanted to say I have shacked up with your channel for a while. I just made the commitment yesterday to subscribe. Here's why: I just came out of 21 days of fasting and prayer and received a revelation during while watching one of the Live podcast tapings. Specifically the one with Montell and Kristan Jordan. She said that "a wife is mature ..." I am 43 years old now and realized in that moment that the waiting period God had me in for 5 years was about maturing me emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Prior to the maturing process, I was stuck in my teenage self way of thinking. In other words, I wasn't fully healed from my first heartbreak, witnessing my parents divorce, being rejected by someone who said they loved me but named all these things I couldn't change as wrong with me (eye color, lip size, skin complexion, etc). I had begged and cried for God to send my husband but if He had sent him while I was walking in that level of immaturity and unhealed space I would have ruined my marriage. Mature men intimidated me. I attracted immature ones, then I was the more mature person so I could blame them for why the relationship didn't work. My friends would say I was settling; they were right. Settling for a version of myself that had no mental, emotional advancement and therefore drew to myself men who lacked the same. The way I laid in my bed late last night and just spoke to my Heavenly Father and thanked Him for last year. I went through a breakup that felt like it obliterated my spirit. But I watched the interview with Christian Keyes you did after the Atlanta live podcast. He said that he had prayed about his relationship and it fell apart. I felt that wholeheartedly. I fasted for Lent last year and asked God for clarity about where the relationship was headed and my bf broke up with me. I ran back to my Father and He carried me through the pain and stretched my walk with Him like some salt water taffy for sure. I said all that to say; KEEP GOING! THIS PODCAST IS SAVING LIVES. It's bringing new revelation to those of us that don't have the people around them necessary to say, "LISTEN!" God bless you brother. -Signed New Subbie no longer being immature or stubborn

Ms Shekela is such a blessing, her strength and perseverance through all her trials speaks volumes as well. Beautiful testimony.

😭 Thank you for this couple. It reminded me of a recent situation. I woke up one day and realized I lost my daith (bottom piece of my earring). It had been missing for about 2 weeks and I didn't even begin to look for it because I didn't know where to begin. After walking out of my bathroom and looking in the mirror I realized I hadn't purchased a replacement. As I'm going to open the baby gate (had my dogs blocked in with me. Lol) I felt something under my foot. At first I was going to ignore it, but I felt a prompting to check it out. It was the piece I was missing. It may seem like a small thing, but I felt in that moment God was like, I see you and I also see what you are looking for. I know how to connect you to it if you'll trust me. 😭😭😭😭 I say all that to say... my heart has been flickering with the hope of finding love. Seeing this couple rekindled my hope. I am a hopeful romantic. ☺️

I'm in tears as I write this. There are so many parallels to my experience that it's almost scary. Midway through this episode, a fire was instantly ignited in me, and I was convicted to have a real & raw moment with God. I paused the video & began to pray intensely, crying and all. Through repentance and a reminder that His mercies are new every morning, my faith was strengthened, and my hope was refreshed. I believe it's still going to happen for me. The BIGGEST takeaway for me is that it's NEVER too late for God's Will to be done. To Gregg & Shakela, THANK YOU for your courage & obedience in sharing your story. God's getting so much Glory from this, and you're inspiring so many people to keep believing by faith. @DearFutureWifeyPodcast Laterras, I'm so excited to see how God's going to blow your mind in your relationship with your future wife, as a way of Him saying to you, "Well Done thy good and faithful servant." A huge hug and appreciation to Greg and Kela. This testimony was powerful and encouraging. I truly enjoyed hearing and seeing the beauty, love, and covering of God. Even when we are unfaithful, God remains faithful. Thank you once again for sharing. Great encouragement to remain faithful and constant as I wait for my king.

I remember this couple from the live. I knew this would be an amazing story. I love how after all they have gone through God brought them back together with love and support for each other that is so strong. You can see this amazing love in how they vibe with each other. I appreciate how venerable Greg was with his feelings and telling their story. A man in touch with his softer side is a sign of strength, he’s a child of God. Many blessings to this couple and thank you Laterras for seeing something special in them and bringing them on to tell their story.🙏🏽❤️

Amazing 😢 - her story sounds very similar to mine. Even the upbringing as my father is a pastor and my mom’s family is full of pastors. I’ve been married 3x and you all just gave me hope again ❤
