This is great. I got here by looking at ways I could "draw my anxiety" as the therapists put it. However, I believe that this is a great way of relieving anxiety and at the same time, I am able to indulge my love of art. Can't wait to have a go at this !!

You are my youngest hero ( I am 68). I teach emotionally disturbed kids math and science. Without an aesthetic sense of math, i wouldn't even try. The curriculum I am chained to focuses on calculation too much. I have to sneak beauty in. I am also hemmed somewhat because some of my students might use a compass for a weapon. I have to use precut circles. All that considered. were have done some work with the golden spiral. What do you suggest for my next project?

Great comment Patrick. Do you mind if I add your comment to my testimonials? Maybe even add your profile picture. You can reach me at dearing@dearingdraws.com. I have some courses coming up .Maybe I can give you some early access to try it out.

I think it would be a lot easier to make if you start with a circle and divide into six. And then dividing the radius into 5 equal. Coz you need only five points on the radius and the distance b/w the doesn’t matter. Try it. It’s much easier.
@domainofdotart61258 жыл бұрын
Very nice but wouldn't you find it easier to use a CAD program. SimpleCad worked pretty well for me when I was designing reference graphs for my book "the Domain of Dots".

The first pentagon you establish, center of the first flower at 1:16.. when i try this mine looks like crap, every time. Perhaps a tip? i'm new to using a compass, so i think maybe i need to be more accurate and focused, but i seem to way off in the exact same place every time i try. my compass is sturdy i know it isn't moving. What else can i try?

A lot of the initial stuff is pointless. You can just draw a hexagon by making equal length lines at 120 degrees. And then find the mid point of each side to make your main circles, then divide that into 4 equal lengths for the smaller circles.
