Nice hunting! When you ride Ahtal-ka and Ahtal-ka is roaring at the first, you can get the down time without R button. I'm not good at English so I can't tell you this information well, sorry.

May I ask a question? When I see aerial CB, the most common setup i saw have load up skill as well as absolute readiness, so what is the benefit of this setup?

For the most part, you want Readiness for sharpness upkeep along with quick evasive option, but Ahtal-Ka has so many stops during the fight that you can sharpen normally pretty easily. You can also hop through its attacks or just trade with them quite easily, so Readiness loses a lot of value, while Ripper Shield gets a ton of value. Ripper Shield is also very helpful in getting the mecha phases done ASAP, as the huge cocoon has a massive 250 hitzone value and Ripper Shield has a total of 120 motion value (6 hits of 20 MV). Load Up goes down by a domino effect. It's used to charge phials up much faster, but Ripper Shield reduces the need of that somewhat. It's also very restrictive on set building, so giving it up opens a lot of options. I do generally run both of those though, as you can see in most of my previos (very old) runs! It's just that Ahtal-Ka really lends itself very well to using Ripper Shield.
