Which could make it go both ways. First of all, the sad angsty way. Phil is an immortal, and he can never be with his one love, so he is cursed to wander without her. Always alone, always alive. Oooor you could say Kristen being death is the reason he's immortal. She wants him to be alive and help other people. Which is sweet.
