But in all honesty alcohol is class "insert # here" drug. But not... legally stated I think ? Ben long since I read the subject. While there are few health benefits...it can drastically damaged/kill you over the years. Especially the liver let alone your brain. The alcohol thing was started by the mob...then the government took over! And rather than ban it they regulated it....I would like to see someone try to ban alcohol....you will be killed immediately

@@hokses Well, yes, it is a drug, just like nicotine and caffeine, and well, anything that directly affects your mind Putting a ban on it would be hard, since it's as old as our civilisation… and because a lot of people have the need to forget who they are every friday evening so that the don't jump out the window during weekend.... Also, from what I recall, US government tried to ban booze once and it resulted in thousands upon thousands of new moonshiners

@@fuckologic1202 Yup. It would be the same with all banned drugs. Ban it and suddenly a guy in a van next to you Goes: psssst you want to buy some beer? I can't think of any drug that 99% of the people will be happy to buy and adding:it better be chilled! When being secretly sold. Am telling you it will be worse than people randomly attacking shops and flipping cars when their team lost. Going into war...OK. Banning alcohol...The country is burning!!

What’s the worst punishment the gods ever had to endure for their betrayals? To be human, with no power. It sucks to be human to them. It’s the worst fear and pain imaginable. No more immortality. Death is final! The bones will rot! The corpse will decay and become worm food! That’s probably why they don’t stick around us. Maybe they don’t want to catch death by association with us. I cannot help but be a little amused when Death mentions that the Infinite is 'blue', considering his eyes/orbs are blue, themselves...then again, you could argue that Death himself is Infinite...until the End of Time, that is...I think? Might just be an odd little thing/detail, but I still think it's funny. Also, thinking about, no matter how 'wise' a mortal 'sage' like this guru may be (even calling Death 'my son...really?), he may only have lived 1 lifetime, whereas Death has seen, experienced and observed and 'lived' countless ones, so, in a way, him keeping his sanity for as long as now is a walkin', freakin' miracle when you think about it! @@CocoandZee Pretty much explained in many volumes Death is never invisible, nor is he incorporeal. He's just infinite and because human mind cannot comprehend that and at the same time don't want to know death is there they usually picture him differently, usually as a tall man (but they vary person to person). He can go through objects and walls because they, at one point, weren't there or won't be there. But cats can see him, so he likes cats. And wizards... wizards can see him (as they see things as they really are)... but he dislikes them as they always interrupt him when he's doing something interesting or another.

Alchohol doesn't actually make you forget anything. It only represses things. The only actual way to forget anything is to age. Depending on who you are this could take a whole lifetime. It is in a way the best part of growing old. So that when you die you truly die without regret.
@bramvanduijn8086

Alcohol disconnects parts of your brain, which means memories can become unretrievable, but because of the non-localised nature of memory it mostly just makes all your memories fuzzier. Alcohol basically has terrible aim. There are several other ways of forgetting, but the healthy ones I am familiar with all revolve around remembering and then doubting the parts of your memories. You see, whenever you remember something what you store afterwards is a new version of your memories, so if you can make it fuzzier, then it will be weaker. Repeat that often enough and the memory will be gone. Then there is the unhealthy option of trauma: While it is true that trauma often strengthens memory, if you break a mind thoroughly enough by repeated application of varied traumas, then you can make them completely forget who they are, and once you've done that, getting them to forget everything else is easy.
