I think Death Angel's modern albums (since 2008ish) are miles ahead of their 80s albums. They sound much heavier and darker. Not to mention Mark's vocals sound more aggressive overall. An incredible band that keeps improving the older they get!

Apart from the melodic and thunderous guitar work of the band, Mark Osegueda is really something when it comes to vocals. I'm cursing myself for not realizing this man's voice back when I was growing up; it doesn't matter if it is an angry and fast song like this or if it is a slow and acoustic song like Veil of Deception; he always brings it and nails it. Death Angel was just one of those thrash bands with some decent songs for me, but the last couple of years completely changed that. Mark did some very good job with Metal Allegiance too by the way.
