Booster’s suit is just made up of tech that the justice league end up inventing. Batman’s insider suit can access the speed force as well for short periods of time. It’s probably an upgraded 25th century version of that. Something they miss out on in the movies is the rate technology increases after the formation of the league. You got access to all of this advanced alien tech. It’s one of the reasons Batman can hang with them.

I think the reason Booster Gold doesn't want anyone to know that he's actually a great super hero as he fixes time is so villains don't decide to kill his ancestors, this would kill him in the future creating a paradox as well as undoing everything he achieved. So he comes across as an arrogant bumbling idiot so that no villain really takes him seriously. This is just my take on the character though.

Booster used his time travel powers to tell himself to come to prehistoric times. In order to not break time he only used instances of himself who was aware of and present for the fight. And when you time travel it splits time so each second he fought he used that instance of himself to come to the prehistoric area. Afterward they go to the point they left time to not break time.

Believe it or not, they very much underplay Booster Gold's importance in his universe, and most adaptions with him cover his earlier portrayals or that persona he puts on. He's actually dealt with a lot of tragedy and loss, but he's persevered through it all. Even as far back as the 80s or early 90s, Booster was always stated to be destined to not only be a hero but also one of the key humans that push humanity forward or something like that. This doesn't even cover the other superhero personas he's taken on either. Booster in-universe and out-of-universe has always been underestimated.
