I have returned from the void! And what better way to do so than by continuing our annual dream season tradition? Just like the last few years, every single matchup featured here was submitted by a member of the Rappterverse Discord server which you can find linked below. I got tons of good ideas suggested for this, ultimately this is a collection of 16 of them that I think work well relative to each other in a season format. What do you think of this season? Pretty much a fan of everything here with the exception of Monokuma vs. Koro-Sensei. I feel like that battle is too much of a stomp to be justified, even though I agree that it would be fun to see both characters in Death Battle at some point. @ mine was Killcannon vs Shocker (Invincible vs Marvel). not my best I will admit, but I thought the connections were good enough. And also the Crossed vs The Infected (Crossed vs The Sadness) which is the one I hoped the most would make it. The connections are perfect.

@ well, the Sadness was heavily inspired by Crossed with the basic idea of the Virus turning people into twisted maniacs. I will say in terms of storytelling the Sadness does it better in my opinion, whereas most of the time in Crossed the fucked up content seems to be for the sake of shock factor most of the time (although the first volume in the series was the best out of all of them, to me anyway).

Glad to have you back, Rappter! As usual, some really fascinating matchups in this video. I'm really hoping Hiccup and Toothless VS Hiro and Baymax makes it onto the show someday. I've loved the matchup since the beginning and, after Bowser VS Eggman, is currently my new most wanted matchup. Honestly, every new MWMU I have going forward won't be nearly as impactful as Bowser VS Eggman, but it is what it is. You really surprised me with Lucy VS Alear, but I'm more than down for it. Engage was my first Fire Emblem game, and while I haven't watched Fairy Tail in years, I still really like it and have been wanting Lucy to get her own fight for a while. And if this fight happens, I would prefer female Alear since I used her in my first Engage playthrough. But oh my God, what I wouldn't do to see Zero VS Meta Knight! Seriously, how has this fight never happened yet? Like come on!

I would love to see Zero back and I know he has quite of bit different matchups, Meta Knight is probably the best attention getter. It was also a hot debate between the 2 for a while as well. I'm also on board with Loki v Kefka. We NEED more Final Fantasy THAT ISN"T 7. Look I love FF7 as my favorite video game of all time, but there are SO many good characters out there. Kefka, Garland, Lightning, Bahamut, ect (I know they did a DBC of Bahamut v Rayquaza, but I think having Bahamut go against Nicol Bolas from Magic the Gathering would be SO much better). If I want to add a battle in a season it would be Hades (Disney's Herc) v the Devil (Cuphead).

Just throwing it out there, I don’t like Meta Knight vs Zero, I don’t find it interesting, it’s a massive stomp, and the connections aren’t that good. I personally think if Meta Knight gets on, he should fight Riku, a matchup I think works a lot better, has decent connections, and actually has a debate behind it.

Welcome back Rappter I love your list of your combatants for your dream season of 2025, I’ve just got a few things to put in if you don’t mind. • Lloyd vs Takanuva sounds ok mostly cuz I’ve never played with Bionicle my preferred for Lloyd would be Tommy Oliver cuz Green Ninja vs Green Ranger but if you’re not a fan I get it. • Zero vs Meta Knight, Moon Knight vs Azrael and Pete vs Bluto are awesome choices cuz they bring out so much potential for future MU ideas and stand out for their abilities from fast swinging sword action to big time toon force hopefully one of those get noticed and selected for future seasons. • I like Loki vs Kefka and Boros vs Battle Beast they could very interesting one has tricky behavior and the other has true bloodshed. • I absolutely love Hiccup and Toothless vs Hiro and Baymax as much as you do and I really hope it gets made soon. • Indominus Rex vs Sharktopus and Cobra Commander vs Red Skull are two MU’s I’ve heard a few times and I gotta say I’m growing on, One is a hybrid monster fight and the other sounds like it could be an army battle like Bowser vs Eggman. • Sans vs The Judge is definitely one MU that needs to be made sooner or later, people really want this and I’m still waiting. • Bobobo vs Uncle Grandpa is one I’ve been desperately craving for I know UG has other opponents like Doraemon and The Cat in the Hat but this has incredibly insane anime vs incredibly insane cartoon like Saitama vs Popeye. • Dr. Manhattan vs Richard Nixon definitely sounds like a season finale episode, hopefully it’s not too much for the cast to work with. To be fair, it would be a similar situation to the chosen undead. Where it would be interesting to test the inmortality with outside powers or to see if the story has clues of how it could be overcome. Regartless, the matchup that was presented here is not one sided for subaru being inmortal. Its actually quite competitive, and both could win depending of the interpretation
