Of all the characters who drop epic af final lines in death battle, I would not have expected Discord of MLP to be an easy top 3 in my mind lmao But the impact of just "I'm surprised. You don't recognize... your old home." is absolutely AMAZING. Bro lost, but dude got the moral victory by saving his friends and trapping Bill back in his dimension. This episode went so hard with the story

You know I find it incredible how despite how Bill killed Discord, Discord still had the last laugh and still won at the end, since he trapped him in his old dimension.

It's honestly amazing how Bill and Discord outsmart EACH OTHER in completely different ways. In general, Bill takes the threat of fellow cosmic beings more seriously (Time Baby) while Discord's easy-going nature has allowed other villains (Tirek, Cozy Glow) to defeat him. So it makes sense that Bill could outwit Discord in a fight. But that same ruthlessness means that Bill NEVER predicted that a fellow god-like reality warper would ever sacrifice his life to protect "mere" mortals like the ponies. The spirit of chaos chose friendship over fun.
