aight crazy theory time listen how the song ends. The instrumentals fade out and the female voice, Esdeath, is left speaking. You'd assume this means she wins but here's the thing. I think the guitar riff beginning in the middle signifies Commander-in-Chief popping. Here's what I think is going on. CiC is popped midfight, and Gray's still fighting strong. Eventually, Iced Shell will land. The instrumentals fade as Esdeath begins panicking while she's being frozen, left a statue in the middle of the frozen wasteland, Gray walking away all badasslike as the camera lingers on her, cracking in the cold. The final lyrics as a whispering echo to what she once was.
