This song an his performance reminds me of the deep pain I felt ten years ago when the love of my life and I ended our marriage, I thought I would die. It took five years for me to completely heal. For those of you going through a similar situation there is hope, I am happy now, it made me stronger in ways I can not describe.
@jr29045 жыл бұрын
That's great of you to post, I agree it can be okay again after. Sadly it's been nearly six years now and I'm still alone. It's just something I've gotten used to, even though every day that passes tells me that humans weren't meant to be alone.
@mtadams20094 жыл бұрын
@@christiandaugherty1267 I can remember that feeling. I lost 30 lbs and I only slept 3 to 4 hours a day. I was very anxious and exhausted at the same time. I nearly lost my job. It did lead me to a good place and it made me into the man I wish I had always been. I feel for you, I wish I had some magical words to help you but I dont, other than things do get better but very slowly or at least that's how it went for me. Hang in there and take care.

There is whisky in the water And there is death upon the vine There is fear in the eyes of your father And there is "Yours" and there is "Mine" There is a desert veiled in pavement And there's a city of seven hills And all our debris flows to the ocean To meet again, I hope it will How could something so fair Be so cruel When this black sun revolved Around you! There is an answer in a question And there is hope within despair And there is beauty in a failure, And there are depths beyond compare There is a role of a lifetime And there's a song yet to be sung And there's a dumpster in the driveway Of all the plans that came undone How could something so fair Be so cruel When this black sun revolved Around you! How could something so fair Be so cruel When this black sun revolved Around you! There is whisky in the water And there is death upon the vine And there is grace within forgiveness But it's so hard for me to find How could something so fair Be so cruel When this black sun revolved Around you! 0:40 he says "an there's a city of seven hills" could this be referring to the Revelations of the bible where in Revelations 17:13 it states "the seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits" in revelations it also talks of a city where the woman sits names "great Babylon" which rules over the earth which is told to be destroyed in the Revelations and at 0:50 he states "and our deb-re floats to the ocean" this could be describing that. Also at 1:01 he states(as well as repeatedly throughout the song) "how could, something so fair be so cruel when this black sun revolves around you" this could be referring to Satan himself as in the bible it states that "even Satan himself disguises himself as an angle of light" where light is described and good or knowledgeable but Satan is described as being very deceiving which he could be referencing when he says "how could something so fair be so cruel". Just some observations i made not saying this is what he is referencing i just thought it was interesting. I have been reading thought he bible recently and am doing a lot of research on these things and every other song i hear on the radio has some reference to the bible. Its very confusing to me that so little people even notice these things, i mean i have only read Revelations nothing else to some other bible readers may be able to make more connections who knows. Also as my last note if there are any other people who do research on the bible please point me towards some interesting reads im thinking on reading Genesis next because i still dont really know all of the story of god but im really the only person in my family who does this as in research the connections to today in the bible so ill use any tips i can get. Edit: forgot to add this but these artists also talk about souls a lot and darkness which are both talked about in the bible let alone the name of the band being death cab for cutie, like wtf lol.
