Some years and I keep coming back to see this delicious video. You are the reason I love so much this band
@ImStefany7 жыл бұрын
Man I've been playing the guitar for years but this band made me want to start playing bass. Love your videos, you're so into it, don't ever stop. Hope you don't mind I posted your channel link on my cover of this song.
@MrBrawl7 жыл бұрын
No, not at all! I'm very thankful that you would! Your cover is excellent! You compensated very well for not having the full two octave range. I can't imagine that song was easy to play on a P bass lol.

You are awesome, sir. This is my favourite song off the new record. Those riffs!!!

How are you getting such an accurate tone? Just curious cause his setup is all hard to find vintage stuff lol.
@charleschristianson90634 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about his setup but if you want an accurate tone without shelling out a few thousand follow these steps. Get a line splitter and two amps. The amps can be just about anything but try to get amps with loudspeakers. Get a fuzz pedal (jesse usses the fuzz war) I use the big muff pi and plug it in after the line splitter before one of the amps. Then get a hi fi distortion (I use a metalzone wazacraft) and plug that into the other amp. To set everything I watched the rig rundown video and set my amps and pedals to what keeler has. Then you're golden.
@mustynutzzz78864 жыл бұрын
@@charleschristianson9063 does it matter what specific pedals I use? I'm on a pretty big budget and I already got everything but the fuzz pedal. I'm using a donner mini distortion pedal and I was thinking about getting the JOYO JF-12 but I'm worried it might not sound right.
@kevinclarke94064 жыл бұрын
@@mustynutzzz7886 One pedal that gets missed in Jesse's sound is a chorus pedal. He uses a vintage Ibanez to then split the signal between his Peavey and Acoustic amps with controls set around 1 o'clock. Another critical part is an eq pedal - Jesse uses an MXR 10 band. One distortion pedal that I'd recommend would be the Source Audio Aftershock. Incredibly versatile, stereo ins and outs with a very deep editor. IMHO, the best 140 ever spent!

I've watched hundreds of "covers" of songs I enjoy. Most are ham-fisted, inaccurate and are so poorly done, they fail to match the original. You emulated this song note-for-note. More importantly, your energy and enthusiasm make it even more enjoyable. Well done! Any band you perform with should be grateful to have a bass player like you. I recommend you research Dominic Casciato and DANAVA for some incredible bass lines.
