One of my all-time favorite Death Grips songs. I love the 70's rock and psychedelic feel of it, plus the guitar riff in here is great. It's also one of their deepest and darkest songs, because it talks about him being fed up with the world and wanting to kill himself, but he won't because "friends and family won't understand," and at the same time implies that despite wanting to kill himself he's not actually going to try to, nor does he have any desire to try to kill himself anytime soon.

"I'm sick and tired of these perks. I've tried nothing; everything works." Nothing sums up my depression better than that. I feel like I have too many perks to have a right to complain about my life when others have it so much worse. Then everyone: my parents, my friends all tell me things like, "You just need to get over your fears and try to do things; it will get easier," or that I'm just being lazy or stuck, "In a rut," and sure, I'm sure it would all work, but it also all feels so hopeless and not even worth trying. It seems like most people associate depression with feeling sad all the time, but it's the hopeless inhibition which is quietly the worst part for me. When I first heard this song, I was pretty surprised. I'd never heard anyone else say so perfectly and succinctly how I feel.
@Jasonxrr8 жыл бұрын
