Combat Patrol is a good start. Typhus is an auto include, Plague Marines are Battle line, Biologus Purifier is a force multiplier, and pox walkers are decent for their cost.

please could you do some example on camera for the slingshot thing. i think i understand it but im not 100% and i feel like id raise some eyebrows if i ended up slinging a death guard unit 30 odd inches without any proof that it works that way.

could also overwatch with a PBC to force a battleshock in your opponent's turn

the battleshock effect only works in your shooting phase (tried to reply to this before but it seems it didn't send so if i accidentally double posted sorry)

May seem kind of bleh but I ran this detachment against my friends necrons and I plopped typhus and a 20 brick of poxies on center obj with 3 myphitics and a 20 brick of warriors could no longer deal with them. Not the best combo I think but It was really fun that game

The flail doesn’t seem too terrible to me as combined with the -1 toughness aura army rule, so you’re wounding most terminators on 3s. Thoughts?

I think of it as blight lords are at their best when shooting and taking away from that to have one ok at best melee weapon is not that good. If you really want melee, bring deathshroud, bring marines with 5 s8 heavy weapons. There’s simply better options for melee in the army and taking away from your shooting only hinders their already very mediocre shooting. I don’t see a reason to take the flail :/

@ makes sense. Wish blightlords got slightly better guns for their cost. If they all had access to blight launchers that’d make me so much happier with them.

The stratagem reads pile in OR consolidate the 6”. Does the same unit get both?

I think it works for both because until the end of the phase EACH time... This way it reads for both pile-in and Consolidate.

not 32 max u can do from DS is 4+12 charge + 6 =22 inc and morty max is 10+12+6= 28inc still very good but depends out lucky your dice rolls are

Im trying to start a Death Guard army but i am unsure of what to buy. With the new codex and changes on the near future. What do you recommend? Plague marines? Deathshrouds and blightlords? 😊 what are the safest options to buy and still be useful? 😅😅

I'd get the combat patrol to start. You get typhus plague marines bio and poxies

I had a good game with a plague surgeon in the unit of plague marines in this detachment as the one plague they mange to kill because of the stealth making them hard to hit it was just coming back
