I was so pleased to see that you ended up being able to cover all of the Death Guard releases, especially after you had said that you wouldn’t be able to. I was unable to use a computer for about two weeks, and when I finally got back to KZbin, there was a plethora of new videos from you- what a pleasant surprise! I have to say that the Vindicator in this video looks fantastic- I never really liked the model too much before, but after seeing the paintwork on yours, I’m quite turned around about it. Thanks for the fantastic review, as well!

Good videos man, so refreshing to see videos about other armies and not about primaris space Marines. Just far far too many primaris SM videos on YT. There is a few death guard videos but none as in depth as your vids..... keep up good work, and keep posting those none imperium armies ;)

A Vindicator is not a unique vehicle, it's based on the rhino chassis while the plague crawler is entirely unique. Not to mention the vindicator is for a larger demographic than death guard players. GW pricing actually does follow expected demand, as the Grey Knight marines cost more than the regular Space Marines, the Deathshroud Terminators cost more than the Blightlord Terminators, etc.

Emidretrauqe I don’t get your argument at all. Are you saying that because something won’t sell as many and is more ‘unique’ GW should price it higher and is therefore justified? That theory does not work with the Primaris range. Their single minis which are roughly sized the same as DG but are £22.50 compared to £15. It is right to assume that the DG will sell vastly smaller numbers than space marines so by your theory they should be more than £22.50. Death shroud are the same price as Blightlord Terminators (you probably meant 3 compared to 5 models though).

You make a good case by comparing the two, and honestly the only thing I can think of is that GW view Primaris marines to be a small elite offshoot of their Space Marine range. Basically, it's the same as the Grey Knights, where they think that Space Marine players really don't need Primaris characters meanwhile Death Guard players are more likely to take their characters due to not really having many other options. I mean it's not like Death Guard players can buy a smaller cheaper Death Guard Plague Surgeon as an alternative. So there's that.

I like those 30K-style circular mounts for the side guns. Makes it seem like it was designed back in the day and then adapted to a more daemonic design.

When i got mine the sprue was pretty badly twised/warped, seems to be a reoccuring issue with the kit: lots of people having trouble with panels not fitting, being twisted etc.

I'm coming round to these models , I wasn't keen at first but it does seem dear for what you get. My main moan is for the same price you get a model three times or more the size with Airfix, if GW were a bit cheaper I'd have a lot more from them.

Love it, just icked up 2 and fully constructed 1 of them this afternoon. Only take the Spitters for pure modelling purposes though, you NEVER want a Spitter Crawler on the tabletop. You want to keep these things as far away from assault as possible and by putting spitters on it you're essentially robbing yourself of 2 36" multi-melta's that traden their melta rule for additional range.

I like the model allot more now seeing it, thought it would be bigger, & it's disappointing that is doesn't have more decorative options but being Nurgal it's easy to scratch it up. That gap in the side I would leave & make it look rusted or even green stuff some tentacles coming out of the gap

nice review :) My wife has written 2 of these on her cristmas wishlist, and seeing as I'll have to assemble and paint them if she indeed gets them, it's nice to know what to look out for when assembling. I will be magnetizing them, and knowing how the bits comes together is nice too :) cheers

I like the design and think it fits the current DG line very nicely. kinda surprised at the size as well though! that's ok, it will be easier to hide behind terrain. and thanks for the heads up on the janky fit - im waiting for my mine now (along with a bloat drone and typhus 😉) and it should be here this week.

The 4+ bs combined with the ranged weapons being Heavy kill this unit imho. Its insanely tough tho so it might be useful as something you plop on one of your backline objectives. It would be amazing if you could swap the mortar for an open top with a small transport capacity.

It's worth it when you play 3 and babysit them with an arch contaminator chaos lord. Re-rolls to wound on the mortar help at killing tanks and monsters. Plus those re-rolls of 1 add up. I love this tank. I play 3 in every game.

Oscar Casasola this things eat 12 lascannon shots on average befor going down. If you only kill 5 Marines each game, then you propably play them wrong or are incredible unlucky (I don't take in account that it's also incredible dumb to shot at QMS units with this unit, so...). Take 1-2 10-man of cultists to screen them and then sit back with them full if entropy cannons. Use stratagem to ignore heavy weapon penalty when you gotta move. If you use it to deliver a flamethrower, use a Foetid Bloat-drone instead. Hope this helps, the Plagueburst Crawlers are better than lascanon predators atm....

Xardaras Oh I believe you. Mine always take a ton of shots before dying. The 5++ and Disgustingly Resilient put in work. By itself as a single heavy support it's decent. Taking multiple of these is where it's at, preferably with a lord to babysit them.

Flamers autohit and are at strength 8 , just put it in the opponent face, its durable enough and fast enough 3 of those, and 3 bloat drones and 2 deamon princes for backup, put everything in the opponents face, good times.

Turn it around, plop a turret on top & you've got the makings of a plastic Sicaran. Also good point on the weathering looking repetitive if you've got multiple Crawlers. Kind of a weakness of the entire DG line really.

Ho hum... that's a quite nice idea actually, maybe I can make a Venator out of a Crawler chassis and the Rapid Fire Battle Cannon that I still have left from my Knight (put a Thermal Cannon on it)... saves a lot of € and the FW Sicaran doesn't look very Nurgly so it'd look better to boot :P

hi there. love your videos. may i suggest doubling the stat info on screen? it's a bit harder to get what's the model capable of when you just say stats with your voice especially as you sometimes do it a bit too fast, tho maybe it's only coz i'm a new player

Vova 1111 that’s fine and I understand why you would want the stats on screen. However this is not possible for me to do as GW sell the rules and stats for this model and I would be breaching some kind of copyright if I displayed them. I do display all of the free publicly available rules and stats for other models such as from their FW range. Hope that helps and I hope you enjoy the videos.

Hump Debump It's a way to make Plagueburst crawlers more likely to hit their target but I'll be honest I haven't done the math hammer on it so I don't know how much it effects their efficiency but when your sinking 324 points into a pair of crawlers the extra 37 points each to enhance their efficiency isn't that bad in my mind. Not to mention a Lord is a cheap way to fill in a HQ slot. It depends on what kind of a list your going for as well, in my list the Plaguebursts will be my ranged hitters, I don't mind paying more points to make sure they can actually hit their targets. In some other lists the points may be better allocated to something else, it depends what you're going for.

Im fecking hating fighting death guard at the moment, everything is fine apart from the 9" plague flamer stuff. It means every unit of my Templars I deep strike with takes automatic overwatch hits or I have to risk 10" charges. Completely knackers my army up and I think the ap penetration is a bit too good on the plague flamers for the points.

Chaos isn't exactly my cup of tea in 40k, (and even to the extent I find the models interesting, Im rather more inclined toward Thousand Sons than Death Guard) but it is gratifying to see that it's finally getting some love from GW. Before the new DG and all the TS stuff in the last year or two, Chaos players were pretty much looking at using some of the oldest models in system. Hopefully they'll follow suit with some of the other less-updated ranges (and yes, I can hear the chants of "Plastic Sisters" coming over the hill 😁)

Yeah the instruction booklet has you put them on backwards. I was lucky someone on reddit warned me before i put together my own.

Glad I am not into modern Chaos, as I hate buying expensive kits that do not go together as meant and is typical of modern day GW probably built in China so therefore , more expensive which to me is a rip off!
