Death in Florence: Plague, Prosecution, and the Poor in early Modern Florence

This is 2020 and we can see the analogs of how things are today with Florence in the 17th century. We have seen three tower blocks in Melbourne where people were effectively locked in not with a bolt but police on the doors. Interesting that during this time, England was slow and running behind as it is now. Thank you for a very interesting lecture.

A rotten empire can only go so far. Perhaps Australia an outcome of the same anglo saxon police tower... Thousands of shipped english convicts, poor, thugs etc etc who colonized the land later renamed Australia.

He totally missed the Dancing Plague, way more euphoric however as fatal sometimes. Allover western southern EU 1350s till 1650s. And theres no medicine nor science of that mania!
