If you're into weird and experimental music I highly recommend checking out the leading figure in Soviet Siberian rock, Egor Letov/Егор Летов, especialy the album "Hundred Years Of Solitude". ИПВ and Янка are also worth giving a listen.

Insightful Discussion! On the topic of conversational & colorful characters, would love to see you guys go through the discography of Boyd Rice (a frequent collaborator of Death In June, Current 93 & Coil, a high priest in the church of satan & was a close personal friend of Charles Manson & Marilyn Manson)

I love DEATH IN JUNE,however I also wrestle with some of the images and msgs I listen to bands like ,current 93 ,Psychic TV, Coil etc However I also adore the Smiths and Morissey on his own has a belief system that I don't identify with, some of it I understand and most I dont I also have my own personal beliefs that some may get upset about I don't care about PC culture, I'm smart enough to know what's right and wrong 23

@natas2350 Yeah, I've listened to plenty of controversial and questionable artists. In these days all celebrities are questionable so I feel like if their is a connection you have with the music feel free to enjoy it. Just be cautious of what energy it could bring and know how to talk about it if said band or artist has controversies surrounding them with toxic ideals.(just a general statement, not aimed towards you) I love Death In June too, but I overall just love the music scene he came out of and all their roles they played. I like all the connections made by reading the history of the UK underground. It's fascinated me for years as I research more of Current 93, which is my favorite out of all these bands. C93 is what introduced me to Death In June, and so I got over my apprehension to listen to them. I figure it's better to just deep dive and get a full analysis and figure out my feelings about them later. What was important for me was the history they added to the UK underground.

@mUbase yeah, I feel you on that. For me, since I have listened to a lot of controversial artist and bands throughout my life, I don't have a personal problem with listening to DI6 to understand the history of the genre. The music in itself is quite enjoyable, but like johnathan stated in the video, I think people's main issue is the fact that it is inviting. The uncertainty of what you are supporting causes confliction especially when people with these extreme idiologies do support this band and others like it. Honestly, this video for me was much more about the topic of separating the art from the artist and if it's possible. I always still wanted to have a level headed conversation about this band, and doing this video was kind of risky but I still believe having important music discussions. I truly love NeoFolk music and music as a whole, so I'll do what I have to do to appropriately talk about hard subject matters. Took me 2 years to prep for this video and tons of research and digging.
