Krieg is one of the really few troops that you never use the word retreat with them. strategic redeploy is what they use for them to fall back because if you use the word retreat then they will just ignore your order entirely. It like that upgrade, death before dishonor.

Thank you. The first time I saw Janovich's videos I was impressed by the quality and some historical references. I had the same pleasant surprise with the Sodaz videos but with one more twist. Without knowing anything about Sodaz I immediately thought “the guy did his military”. I myself completed my military service (compulsory in my country).

I understand why the guardsman pulled out the entrenching tool. It's Krieg iconic. But he had a bayonet on that gun. He could have used the broken gun to deflect, and the bayonet to keep at range and kill.

my thoughts exactly. I find the whole obsession with Krieg using spades in melee a bit tired, when they're most known for their massed bayonet charges. using a bayonet against a short weapon like an axe seems more practical.

A more practical reason might have been resilience. A lasgun might not have had the sturdiness to survive repeated contact with the chainaxe of the heretic. So he premptively drew the only weapon he had capable of besting the heretic.

When attacking 1 of the gates of Vraks inner fort, some 500 Khorne berserkers counter charged, Krieg guardsman managed not only to hold the line but to force enemy to retreat and eventualy captured the gate (means they beat melle oriented Heretic astartes in CqB fight)

The death Corp are clones, it is hinted at and at least 1 book I read outright explained how clone tech was implemented behind the back of the original commander, which is why they never remove their masks and all their commanders have the same name and when a commander is killed he is immediately replaced by a commander of the same name with suspiciously similar size, build and voice, while the troopers hardly ever speak to outsiders to help conceal the fact they are all the same

Hey, I really like your content, only started watching about a month ago but one request or explanation if that’s ok; when the video is playing we see you in the bottom right screen, although I understand this concept when the film is dark (such as a lot of 40k material and especially this one) the difference in brightness makes it somewhat difficult to watch so much that I’m holding my hand over your window so my eyes can take in the rest. IS there an alternative? Maybe turning the brightness of your screen to match the overall content or increase transparency of yours? Just something I’ve noticed and suggestion. Black Brethren of Ayreas fought in Vraks and they are from the Black Legion. The Alpha Legion itself was not in Vraks but the Faithless which was a warband made from the Alpha Legion

The last clip was not from vraks the Krieg were the only ones listed in the siege besides the inquisition forces titan forces and astartes forces, the dark angels were there for a brief time they came lured out so astartes (alpha legion) burned down the Star port and left only sending a founding chapter (angels of absolution) at the end of the siege to take the chaos lord prisoner so no the last clip is not from vraks

The ones with auto guns likely were basic meat shield militia. Given just enough to hold a static position and fill a battle line. Stuff like lasguns and decent armor was saved for the more proper frateris and disciples

The cadians were listed on the order of battle for siege of vraks. The imperium mech forcers were there in mass but were horribly employed massacured for hardly any gain only to be blindsided multiple times by the rebels own much inferior mech forces and pushed back to their starting lines. Most advances were lucky breaks only grudgingly taken advantage of by imperium forces once the trench linea had changed places several timea in a ciuple days and madsive mine fielda had been thinned out by both sides runningvhuman wave and mech assaults right through themafter litterally YEARS of siege bombardment

How does the Alpha legion fit in with the motivations of Chaos? They dont adopt demonic gifts from any one of the Gods, so even if they are against the Imperium (allegedly), what is their incentive? Every other Chaos legion makes sense until Alpha is mentioned.

Bayonets aren't for melee combats, where you one vs one against someone with a legitimate melee weapon. Its for close quarters combat where you already close to the enemy and not primary using it as a legitimate melee weapon. Plus the rifle is nearly cut in half, it's someone nearly saw off your spear and anymore pressure would break the spear into two.

It's a lot harder to make Space Marines from fully grown adults, though it has happened a few times during the Great Crusade era. A substantial part of the process for creating Space Marines involves stem cell science, specifically involving germ cells. This is also why female space marines will never be a thing unless there's a female primarch. Space Marines are created via the implementation of a lot of specifically grown/crafted organs that are substantially more difficult for the adult body to adapt to.
