Aren't elites or bosses supposed to gain immunity to freezing, why are they still frozen?

I am not sure on the exact specifics, but it might be to do with the fact I am overloading every single enemy with a bunch of status effects so the game does not cleanse the freeze (but I am not 100% sure) If I stopped attacking the enemies though, they did unfreeze.

Day of judgement is by far the worst legendary i reckon tho. As it does kill the whole screen yes but does not give you the xp from kills so if there's a bunch of elites on the screen and that goes off welp, you just lost like a level worth
