Check out his fall guys livestreams sometime if you want to hear him in full on sports commentator mode. He usually gets knocked out in the first couple rounds then commentates on the different community members throughout the remaining rounds.

@@anumeon As far as I know, he doesn't do commentary during editing, because the vast majority of the editing is done by his wife. Also that would mean to spend even *more* time with the game, instead of working on other projects.

I can appreciate that Jon's first video run he got Winter and Mort which is a powerful combination. Not to mention Mayhem from Mort which is essentially a nearly free card to get to the end of the run. I adore this game and thank you for covering this Jon!

If you end up playing more of this game, keep moving fast and emphasize getting more "shrines" on the map. Don't neglect experience, but leaving a little laying around to get more shrines is generally a good investment.

It's a great game. Explore more and you will come across other alters, including one that pulls in all exp. So while you should try to get some levels in the beginning you should also walk around more so you get those alters. Also watch out for unique equipment. Like the good rope. I think you can only get one (but if you sell it you can get it again) but those do have some good stats on them as well.

reprisal + flare is good fun on sorceress, they trigger when an enemy winds up so archers get blasted from off screen and anything that gets close to hitting you gets blown up At the moment its lacking a bit of longevity, but they clearly intend to expand it but for the moment I'd call it basically Early Access but one that can stand on whats currently there.

The progression system as well as some other things in this game is actually a lot like Magic Survival, which is the game that heavily inspired Vampire Survivors, and likely Hades.

Vampire Survivors remains the gold standard and stuff like 20 minutes till dawn etc are more of the same but this seems like a regression with the complicated equipment stats.

Hmmm. Same interface and powers as Beautiful Mystic Survivors. And if you think the gods forgot to get completely dressed this morning in this game, then you probably are not interested in what this game literally reveals as you play it. Although as you get better at the game, the less opportunity you actually get to see things. I do like the addition of a shop and a lot more items in this game though, as well as the move t to a more socially acceptable theming. [NB: There is also Sexy Mystic Survivors that is almost exactly the same game as Beautiful Mystic Survivors except for being *much* more R-rated as you take damage and giving you a "reward" when you win. It was apparently the original game, but they found the gameplay was good enough to not to require the R-rated "enhancement."]

Beat this on Difficulty 30 (max) a day or two ago, I love this VSL! Can't wait til they give us the second stage, the game as is, imo, is very good and very addictive, but I kind of hate the dash mechanic as a whole; it results in way, way too many bs deaths that just dont seem justified
