You should react to Vinland saga. It is a great replacement for AOT after you finish it. It has a great cast of characters who are all very realistic and i think it would really suit your tastes as you seem to like more adult like themes. I see many people recommending Demon slayer, but besides a great animation I dont think they would find much to discus about it. (I like Demon slayer, but its not that deep) Pozdrav iz Hrvatske :)

Final episode spoiler in case anyone here hasn't seen the final episode yet . . . . . I just had a thought of a mechanic of the notebook that Light didn't take advantage of. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't one of the rules that if the user fails to correctly spell someone's name (while having their face in mind) 8 times, that person could no longer be killed with that death note? That's why they couldn't risk trying to spell Mikhail Keehl incorrectly too many times. Light could've instructed Mikami to incorrectly write down his name 8 times before this warehouse meeting so that he could write it correctly this final time. Therefore, Kira would not be proven as the person whose name is not written in the notebook. In the end, Light did get ahead of himself and counted his chickens before the eggs. What need would he have for this extra layer of protection if he was too confident in his current plan, anyways?

tbh I wish they explained some rules a bit more, like that one u discussed here. However, the issue was the notebook was already the wrong one that Mikami has at the end - and Light made it clear he is in fact Kira with his laugh and mental breakdown, so the evidence against him was already overwhelming... Light's name not being in the notebook was just a minor thing Near brings up I think ngl, more of a ''just another evidence'' against him than anything else. Light really couldn't anyhow prove himself being innocent here. Only way to prove innocence was to perhaps meet up - Have Mikami remember(write down, NOT on death note) Near's and SPK member's names and then kill everyone at a later stage and not in the warehouse... Tho Light just was trying to be too flashy and spontaneous. Near knew if Light was Kira he'd pull some flashy stuff at the meeting - and he sure did... Also, about Light's name being written 8 times - I'm just not sure how the rules would work with this but I also thought about this early on when I first watched the series that wouldn't the best thing to do for Light be write his own name wrong so he becomes immortal to anyone else writing his name in it? Would he tho be protected from Ryuk writing his name? What I don't understand for the current ending tho is, Ryuk says he cba waiting for Light to rot in prison so he'll just write his name down and let him die. Why didn't Light just give up his ownership and let Ryuk go then? Anime ending is kinda weird since Ryuk isn't even by Light's side when he dies - but in anime he is, so instead of Light asking Ryuk to kill everyone (manga ending) couldn't he have told him the keyword they agreed upon that whenever Light says it - Ryuk instantly removes Light's ownership of the deathnote letting Light actually survive instead of die by Ryuk's hand ? Or was it that Ryuk saw Light's death day and it was at that moment when he was actually supposed to die.. Sh1t goes deep ngl. xd sorry for the essay :D
